Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (Porsche) is recalling certain 2025 Panamera E-hybrid, Taycan, and Panamera vehicles. A retaining ring on top of the suspension strut may come loose, resulting in a dislodged strut and air loss from the strut spring.
Risk: An air suspension strut failure may cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Please see the recall report for a complete list of all affected models and model years. The caps that cover the low-beam headlight horizontal adjustment screws are missing, which can allow the headlights to be improperly adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Risk: Improperly adjusted headlights may not illuminate the road properly, or cause a glare to oncoming drivers, which can increase the risk of a crash.

The seat belt automatic locking retractors may deactivate early, which can prevent the child restraint system from securing properly. This vehicle has an engine which has rocker arms that are known to fail. The manufacturer has not issued a recall to fix this issue which can result in a catastrophic engine failure. They have acknowledged the rocker arms in pre 2018 models to be defective and insufficiently reinforced to handle the strain of the valve train.

I am reporting an issue with the AH08 recall (NHTSA Campaign 17V368) for my 2011 Porsche Panamera 4S. I experienced the failure on December 27, 2024, while driving on the highway. I scheduled repair at Porsche Greensboro (Foreign Cars Italia) for Dec 31, 2024, but they kept my vehicle for 33 days without completing any recall work. They then advised me to contact another dealer. I arranged to have the vehicle towed to Porsche Southpoint in Durham, NC, for a February 3, 2025 appointment. As of June 2025, none of the recall repairs have been performed, and the dealer is requesting $12,000 to disassemble the engine for damage stemming from the AH08 issue—work that should be covered under the recall. I have not received any response from the dealership despite repeated requests. I am requesting NHTSA’s assistance in enforcing compliance with the recall requirement and investigating this prolonged failure to perform mandatory safety repairs.

The design of this car incorporates something called a "rear hatch drain". This drain can be clogged with debris over time, which leads to a situation in which rainwater drains into the battery hold area. There is no warning for this occurrence; I only discovered it once the tail lights and liftgate began to malfunction. This quickly deteriorated into not being able to start the car at all. This is unsafe because it creates a situation wherein the lights and battery can malfunction/die without any warning. This public safety defect also erodes consumer confidence, as electrical issues are incredibly expensive to repair. Porsche does not even include what should be a basic point of inspection as part of the $300 that they charge anytime they touch of look at the vehicle that the consumer brings in.

On [XXX], I experienced the failure associated with the AH08 recall while driving on the highway. I promptly scheduled an appointment at Porsche Greensboro (Foreign Cars Italia) for December 31, 2024, at 8:00 AM (Confirmation Code: [XXX]) to address recalls AH08, AKA7, AKB1, and ANB4. Despite keeping my vehicle for 30 days, Porsche Greensboro did not complete any of the recall services and ultimately informed me that they could not perform the work in a timely manner, advising me to contact another dealership. Following this, I scheduled an appointment at Porsche Southpoint for February 3, 2025, at 9:20 AM (Confirmation Code: [XXX]), and Porsche Greensboro arranged to have the vehicle towed there. However, as of today, Porsche Southpoint has not completed the recall repairs and is requesting $12,000 (50% upfront) for engine disassembly related to failures stemming from the AH08 recall. This is deeply concerning, as recall repairs should be addressed promptly and at no cost to the vehicle owner. To date, my vehicle has been out of service for nearly six months with no resolution. I respectfully request your immediate assistance to ensure that the recall repairs are completed without further delay or financial burden to me, in accordance with NHTSA and Porsche’s recall obligations. I have included correspondence with both Porsche Greensboro and Porsche Southpoint for your review. Horn does not function. There have been multiple times where I was nearly run off the road or had to quickly change lanes because another driver was not paying attention and I could not tell them I was there without my horn. The problem has been confirmed by the Porsche dealer I purchased the vehicle from and stated it would be more than $800 to replace the horn. They stated there is no way of fixing it and it would have to be replaced. My husband’s 2015 Porsche Cayenne is also having the same issue and I will be filing a separate report. The component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or others. There were no warning lights or messages. I did notice the sound of the horn slowly getting weaker over a period of maybe 2 months until it eventually stopped making sound altogether. This all began approximately 1 year ago.

The contact stated that his vehicle was stopped by the last vehicle he had crashed into. The contact stated that the police had arrived and issued a report. The contact stated that the vehicle air bags had deployed and that he was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The contact stated that he had bruises on both his ankles and calves and that he had bruises on both wrists and hands. The contact stated that the driver's front fender, door, and quarter panel had been damaged by the crash. The contact stated that the driver's front wheel had sheared off the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle had been towed to an impound lot and his insurance provider had declared the vehicle a total loss. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 83,000.

I was parked on surface parking lot with no cars around me, when I put the vehicle in reverse to back out of the parking space, within 2 or 3 seconds the steering wheel airbag exploded without warning. I did not hit anything backing out and there was no collision. I simply put the vehicle in reverse when the airbag exploded. The vehicle was towed to the dealership Porsche Dallas, 6107 Lemmon Ave., Dallas Texas 75209, and has been there since the incident happened on Feb. 1, 2025. All of the diagnostic data from the vehicle was sent to the engineers at Porsche Cars of North America in Atlanta. As of this date I have not been advised why the steering wheel airbag exploded. My left forearm was severely injured and I was treated in ER clinic. I have photos of the Vehicle immediately after the airbag exploded showing the Vehicle had backed up only a few feet when the airbag exploded. Also photos of my injury.
