The 2012 PORSCHE PANAMERA has 0 complaints and 7 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report issues related to engine components, lighting systems, and transmission gear selector malfunctions as detailed in recall data.

Recalls- Turbocharger defect. Recall 12V329000 affects 270 vehicles. The turbine wheel of the turbocharger may fracture due to a casting defect, decreasing performance and potentially fracturing the turbine shaft. Fracture of the shaft may cause oil to enter the exhaust and increase fire risk. Porsche will replace turbine wheels free of charge starting August 31, 2012.
- Headlight adjustment caps. Recall 22V656000 covers 222,858 vehicles. Missing caps on low-beam headlight adjustment screws may allow improper adjustment, failing Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 108. Improper illumination or glare risk can increase crash potential. Dealers will install missing caps at no cost.
- Gear selector bushing. Recall 19V446000 involves 99,665 vehicles. The bushing connecting the gear selector lever to the gearbox may degrade and detach, letting the transmission not fully enter Park without warning. This raises the risk of vehicle movement after exit. Dealers will replace the bushing for free. Owners should use the parking brake until repair.
- A/C blower control unit. Recall 19V322000 affects 33,206 vehicles. Water ingress into the A/C blower control unit can cause an electrical short circuit, increasing fire risk. Porsche will inspect and replace units as needed without charge. Owners are advised to park outdoors until repairs are complete.
- Camshaft controller screws. Recall 17V368000 impacts 18,005 vehicles. Loosened camshaft controller screws may cause engine stall, increasing crash risk. Porsche will replace fastening screws free of charge. Notification began in January 2018 with remedies forthcoming.
Owners dealing with multiple repairs or recall-related safety issues may have rights under their state’s lemon law. They should consider consulting legal counsel if defects remain unresolved after recall repairs.
