Risk: A disconnected hose will result in an engine stall increasing the risk of a crash. Also, a fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

The contact owns a 2022 Tiffin Phaeton RV. The contact stated that while the RV was parked, the hydraulic slide-outs became stuck. The RV was taken to a dealer; however, the RV was not diagnosed. The contact stated that the RV was not drivable. The RV was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000. The VIN was unavailable.

This vehicle has fuel fill on both sides. You have to open the other side in order to prevent a vapor lock on the fueling side. I have fueled this way numerous times without incident. I recently fueled the same way and fuel gushed out the opposite side without tripping the fuel nozzle cut off. This resulted on a significant amount of fuel dumping on the fuel bay.
