Risk: The steering knuckle or rear axle could deform upon impact, such as from hitting a curb, resulting in a loss of steering control, or possible wheel separation. Both of these conditions can increase the risk of a crash.

2019 INFINITI QX60

391479 vehicles affected

19V807000

SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk: The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.

LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION

As The vehicles drive it will intermittently lose power. This is continuous problem ever since 2 weeks after I purchased the vehicle. The power loss can last for 1 sec or most recently up to about 3 to 4 secs. The other day I had to pull over after the vehicle lost power and wait two minutes before starting back on the drive. When it loses power, the power steering goes out and if approaching a turn and/or a decent curve in the road, that can be very hazardous. I Believe this is a huge safety concern and many people have experienced the same malfunctions.

ENGINE

The car died suddenly while driving. The battery is only a few months old. Prior to dying a few warning lamps suddenly came on but there was no prior warning. The engine did not overheat, there was no smoke, or check engine light until the car suddenly died. I have been advised that I need a new engine. I have been researching and it appears many others have similar issues with their Infiniti engines. Its [XXX] Please look into this. It’s odd to me that so many folks engines have died at what is actually low mileage. It’s also pretty frustrating and depressing, the repairs can go up to the cost of a new vehicle, when this appears to be a design flaw. I’m starting to meet way to many folks whose Infiniti or Nissan suddenly needs a new trans or engine as soon as the warranty ends. SUSPENSION

To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this letter to formally report a safety-related defect involving my leased Infiniti vehicle, serviced at Edison Infiniti in New Jersey on August 1, 2025. Despite reporting excessive tire wear and a persistent pull to the right, the dealership concluded that the alignment was within factory specifications and attributed the damage solely to a lack of tire rotation. Based on this assessment, I paid out of pocket for a wheel alignment and replacement tires. However, the condition of the removed front tires tells a different story. The tires show extreme treadwear down to the internal cords, a clear indication of prolonged misalignment or defective suspension geometry. This level of degradation is not consistent with normal wear and tear on a vehicle with fewer than 17,000 miles. It compromised steering control and posed a serious safety risk, making it difficult to maintain lane position and safe handling. I believe this issue may reflect a broader defect in alignment or suspension geometry that could affect other vehicles of the same make and model. I have attempted resolution through the dealership and Infiniti Consumer Affairs without success. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential safety defect and advise on next steps.

I purchased a brand-new vehicle(2025 Infiniti QX60) from Infiniti of Omaha (18201 Burt St, Elkhorn, NE 68022) and have experienced persistent issues with the vehicle shaking/swaying at higher speeds. The dealership has acknowledged the problem and raised it with Infiniti, but the manufacturer claims the issue is due to road conditions in Omaha rather than a defect with the vehicle. Infiniti corporate sent a technician and states it’s because of the roads in Omaha Nebraska. Even though the 2014 Infiniti QX60 I had for 10 years, drove on the same roads, did not have this problem. Infiniti of Omaha's service department has confirmed that my vehicle does, in fact, have issues and has attempted to fix it twice. They also indicated that similar problems are occurring with other vehicles that have the same specifications as mine. They have replaced the tires, which has helped on at slower speeds. At higher speeds, I still do not feel safe in my vehicle. Despite this, the dealership is stating they cannot assist further because it is considered a manufacturer issue. As it stands, I’m left with a $70,000 vehicle that is unsafe to drive at highway speeds, and the dealership refuses to stand behind the product they sold me. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

ENGINE

Our 2022 Infiniti QX60 was brought in at Infiniti Service Center for regular oil change. The car had 29,564 miles. After the service, I was deciding whether to take the highway or the local route. I thought of stopping by the church, so I decided to take the local route. After driving for 4.2 miles on a road with cars moving at 45 mph, our QX60 suddenly just stalled. The car cannot be started. Dashboard lights were fading. It was good hazard lights were still blinking. It was a terrifying experience seeing how fast cars & trailer trucks were going behind us. We had to call 911 to have a police car go behind us & avoid oncoming traffic colliding & piling on our car. We called Infiniti Roadside Assistance to help us get a towing truck to bring the car back to service. The service center said that they will change the fuel injector. Take note that QX60 has had stalling issues in the past even with earlier models. Please see all the forums & complaints. We had a 2019 QX60 that just stalled after I made a U-turn on a busy street. Thank God, we are still alive after that incident. Infiniti did not find any issues when it was escalated to them. We escalated the current issue on our 2022 QX60 to Orlando Infiniti dealership & wanted to talk to the manager. Instead of a manager, we were directed to an Infiniti salesman who related his own story of having the same exact experience with his QX60 while he was driving on a 70-mph highway. He was hard selling the 2026 Infiniti QX60 supposedly addressing the stalling issues. Instead of getting the appropriate level of management to get our issue relayed, Infiniti was trying to make money out of our traumatic experience. Based on written professional reviews, there is no evidence that the changes in the 2026 Infiniti QX60 address the stalling issues in the current & previous models. We are stock to our leased QX60 that we refused to drive until November 2025. We are not risking our life by driving this car again.
