  • Rear Axle Drive Pinion. Recalls 22V019000 and 21V899000 involve 282 vehicles with Meritor 180 series drive pinions that may fracture. A fracture can cause unintended parking brake engagement and brake light activation without warning, increasing crash risk. Inspections and replacements are provided free. Notifications were mailed in early 2022.
  • Electrical Load Center Overheating. Recall 22V539000 covers 25 vehicles where a loose neutral screw connection may overheat the QO Plug-On Neutral Load Center, raising fire risk. Dealers inspect and repair or replace affected parts at no cost. Notification letters were issued in September 2022.
  • Tie Rod Clamp Failure. Recalls 22V778000, 22V871000, and 22V879000 affect 251 vehicles with improperly heat-treated tie rod clamps that can fail, causing tie rod separation and sudden steering loss. Dealers will replace the clamps free of charge. Owners were notified between December 2022 and November 2022.
  • Instrument Cluster Malfunction. Recall 20V762000 involves 193 vehicles with Weldon V-Mux Vista IV LCD displays that may lock up due to electrical issues. This impairs use of emergency lighting and HVAC controls, potentially delaying emergency response. Dealers will replace or retrofit the units at no cost. The recall began in December 2020.
  • Fuel Tube Cracking. Recall 21V967000 affects 114 vehicles where fuel tubes may fatigue and crack, causing high pressure fuel leaks. This poses a fire hazard if ignition occurs. Dealers install vibration isolators or replace fuel tubes free of charge. Notification was sent in January 2022.
  • Pump Shift Solenoid Corrosion. Recall 21V567000 covers 52 vehicles where internal corrosion of the solenoid may cause loss of power to the pump control module, leading to water pressure loss during firefighting. Dealers replace solenoids free. Owners notified in August 2021.
  • Steering Gear Bolts Loosening. Recall 21V103000 involves 73 vehicles with steering gear mounting bolts prone to loosen and back out, causing steering difficulty or failure and increasing crash risk. Dealers replace bolts and washers at no charge. Notices were mailed in early 2021.
  • Power Steering Pump Seal Failure. Recalls 21V458000 and 21V252000 affect 251 vehicles where pressure may break the power steering pump shaft seal, causing loss of power steering assistance and higher crash risk. Dealers replace pumps free of charge. Notifications were sent between April and June 2021.
  • Fire Water Pump Solenoid Corrosion. Recall 21V329000 covers 2130 vehicles with solenoids that may corrode internally, causing power loss to the pump control module and potential failure of firefighting water pressure. Dealers replace solenoids at no cost. Owner letters were mailed in July 2021.

Owners dealing with repeated repairs, safety defects, or unresolved recall issues related to vehicle movement, steering loss, or firefighting equipment failure may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consulting a consumer protection attorney can clarify available remedies.
