The recall began February 5, 2016. Chrysler customer service can be contacted at 1-800-853-1403 using recall number R68.

Owners dealing with repeated repairs for headrest failures or unresolved recall issues related to the power steering system may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consulting legal guidance may be advisable to address ongoing safety defects.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015 Jeep Compass and Patriot vehicles manufactured January 1, 2015, to May 11, 2015. During assembly, the power steering hose retention clamp may have been installed at an incorrect location, resulting in the detachment of the low pressure return hose.

Risk: If the power steering fluid return hose detaches, it would leak fluid and increase the risk of a fire.

SEATS

Passenger headrest exploded while parked - thankfully it happened overnight while no one was in the seat. I checked online and there’s tons of reports of this exact issue with no way to repair it or recall it. There’s only the option to replace it from a parts store and it’s $500. Please enforce this as a recall.
