• Steering gear heat shield fasteners. (NHTSA Recall 17V530000) 253 vehicles face potential corrosion of heat shield fasteners, which can detach causing the steering gear to overheat. This increases steering effort and crash risk, especially at low speeds. Ford will inspect and replace fasteners at no charge. The recall started September 13, 2017.
