My back window blew out, without any cause. It was parked in my driveway on a 60 degree day. There is a known issue with the 2020 Acura RDX. There is even a service bulletin Acura issued to dealerships TSB 22-014. Acura dealership said was not covered under warranty and I would need to pay out of pocket

LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST

August & September 2025 The power steering stopped while driving and without warning, causing the car to be almost impossible to steer. I happened about 3 weeks ago and the dealer replaced the power steering unit after consulting with the Acura techline. Then after the power steering unit was replaced, it happened again, the same problem. Both times the Lane Keeping Assistance was engaged, so it might be related. The first time I was on a curve and it forced the car into the oncoming lane at night. Fortunately, there was no oncoming traffic or a could have a head-on collision. The second time I was on a highway and moving into the Exit lane, so I was able to pull off the road. Both times, when I stopped the car and turned the engine off and back on, the problem went away, but I got a brake warning that did not seem to affect the driving or the brakes. This is a serious safety problem that is very dangerous and must be fixed by Acura immediately. The local dealer seems to know nothing about the problem. Online there are multiple customer complaints being reported of the same problem. EXTERIOR LIGHTING

My low beam headlights have diminished in their effectiveness / intensity over time such that I fear driving at night due to possible danger of an accident. If I do have to drive at night, I have to use my high beams...which is also totally unacceptable, and illegal in post places. I have taken the car to the Acura dealership to explain the problem and determine the proper fix. I felt like this should be covered under warranty, since this is a safety issue, no different than safety belts, air bags, etc. The Acura dealership tested the lights and acknowledged the problem, but stated there was no warranty coverage for the issue. The determined fix was to replace both headlight assemblies for a cost of approximately $2500. This is totally unacceptable in my opinion, given this a definite safety issue.

When I go to accelerate to pass another vehicle car completely shuts down stops running and all warning lights come on. Car is powerless in middle of making a pass which is very concerning have to coast to side of road putting me a perilous situation hoping I don't get hit head on before I can get off the road. Took car to dealer they said bad turbo so change turbo. Two weeks after repair started to pass another car and it did it again exactly like first time. Car is currently at dealer waiting on diagnosis. I feel like this is big safety issue and I don't feel safe driving car that constantly loses power when passing someone.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Acura recalled 2014 vehicles for delamination of reflector film within headlights that results in decreased light output. The RDX was not included, but many - like mine - have experienced this issue. I purchased the RDX in 2017 from an Acura dealer as a certified, lease return vehicle. I began to notice dimming of the low beams within the first year. I had the plastic outside of the headlights restored. No change. The low beams became unsafe. The dealer’s service department was aware of a recall on other models when I mentioned it. They provided me with a number to call American Honda. When I called they acknowledged the issue, but refused to help or provide any financial assistance to purchase new headlight assemblies. I was advised by my mechanic to use my high beams as they were brighter. The low beams barely light up the bumper - no projection. @12 lumens or = 3-5 watt nightlight bulb.

LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST

While driving at highway speed, all of a sudden I lost all power steering and multiple system failure warning lights appeared on the center dashboard including power steering failure, brake system failure and collision mitigation system failure, among others. With great difficulty I was able to steer the car off the highway and was towed to an Acura dealer. The car was 5 months old with just over 3000 miles at the time and there were no prior issues and no advanced warning when this happened. The dealer (Acura of Berlin in CT) stated they have seen this issues several times. The battery voltage was low (11.98-12.09 volts), although the car was being driven at highway speeds for at least 45 minutes before the incident. They charged and tested the battery, and their diagnostics said the battery was good. They also found a code "DTC U3000-49 EPS CONTROL UNIT INTERNAL CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION". The dealer opened an incident with the Acura Tech line, who indicated that if the problem happens again they should replace the steering rack. No repair other than battery charging was performed. This is an unacceptable safety risk waiting for it to happen again. There are many reports of this exact problem online from 2025 Acura RDX owners. We need an immediate recall.
