2020 WINNEBAGO ADVENTURER Complaints and Recall Information
The 2020 WINNEBAGO ADVENTURER has 1 complaint and 4 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners report the front grill falling off while driving, linked to a failure with the grill brackets which also affects the hood brackets covered by a recall. The grill detached due to adhesive bonding failure which allowed the brackets to detach.
Common Issues
- Grill detachment. The front grill falls off the vehicle during operation because the adhesive on the bracket fails to hold it in place.
- Hood bracket failure. Hood brackets detach due to improperly applied adhesive causing safety hazards while driving.
There are 4 recalls related to latch and lock mechanisms, hood structure, and electrical system components. These address potential risks including detachment of critical parts that create hazards and electrical fire risks.
Recalls
- Hood latch and bracket failure. NHTSA campaign number 24V826000 affects 11,982 vehicles. The adhesive for the hood bracket may have been incorrectly applied, allowing the bracket to detach. Detached brackets pose road hazard risks and increase crash danger. Dealers will inspect and repair affected parts free of charge.
- Hood hinge attachments. Part of campaign 24V826000 impacting the same 11,982 vehicles. The defective adhesive application on hood hinges can cause detachment creating a safety risk. Repair includes inspection and adhesive rework at no cost to owners.
- Electrical connector mounting. Campaign number 19V811000 affects 638 vehicles. The electrical connector was improperly mounted directly on the floor instead of a standoff bracket. Moisture exposure could cause electrical shorts or fires. Dealers will remount the connector correctly at no charge to owners.
- Air conditioner heat coil malfunction. Campaign 20V019000 involves 212 vehicles. The heat coil may remain engaged when the power control system attempts to stop AC power, risking interior overheating and fire. Dealers will install a blocking diode to fix the issue free of charge.
Owners dealing with repeated repairs, safety defects, or unresolved recall issues involving this model should consider their rights under state lemon laws.

The front grill fell off the vehicle while driving. I was actually in the process of bringing it to a service center to have the hood bracket reattached. I had also fell off and is currently subject of a recall (NHTSA campaign number 24v826000). I was able to retrieve the grill and on inspecting the brackets that hold the grill on, there was no adherent epoxy suggesting it failed to bond correctly (which was also the issue with the hood brackets).
