124949 vehicles affected
SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:ANTILOCK/TRACTION CONTROL/ELECTRONIC LIMITED SLIP:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE
Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2020-2025 VN, VAH, VHD and VNRE trucks, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.
Risk: Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.
2025 VOLVO VNRE (ELECTRIC)
3502 vehicles affected
STEERING:LINKAGES:DRAG:LINK:CONNECTION
Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2025 VN, VNRe, and VHD trucks. The drag link may contain an improperly heat-treated ball stud that can fail, resulting in a sudden loss of steering control.
Risk: A sudden loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash.

243 vehicles affected
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:RELAYS/SOLENOIDS
Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2019-2023 VNR Electric vehicles. The power cables that connect to the windscreen heater relay may have a loose connection and cause the relay to fail.
Risk: A relay that fails in the closed position will continue to power the cabin heater, overheating the relay and increasing the risk of a fire.
2020 VOLVO VNRE (ELECTRIC)
172 vehicles affected
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:TRACTION BATTERY
Volvo Trucks North America (Volvo Trucks) is recalling certain 2020-2024 VNR Electric vehicles. The rivnut threaded inserts inside the high-voltage battery may be over-tightened and break, which could result in a short circuit.
Risk: An electrical short circuit increases the risk of a fire.
