As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 124, "Accelerator Control Systems."

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 124, "Accelerator Control Systems."

Risk: An engine that does not return to idle quickly enough can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2021 Volvo VN. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 615,000 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 763,309. Local Authorities had not been notified.
