- Fuel pump failure. NHTSA Recall 21V414000 affects 85,550 vehicles. The low-pressure fuel pump can blow a fuse and fail, causing the engine to stall and raising crash risk. Dealers will replace the fuse at no cost.
- Fuse and circuit breaker issue. Also part of NHTSA Recall 21V414000 impacting 85,550 vehicles, the electrical fuses controlling the fuel pump may blow, causing fuel pump failure and engine stall. Fuse replacement is provided free of charge.
- Automatic emergency braking software failure. NHTSA Recall 20V144000 covers 121,605 vehicles. A software and hardware incompatibility may prevent the AEB system from detecting obstacles or engaging as intended, increasing crash risk. - Pedestrian and obstacle detection defect. Included in NHTSA Recall 20V144000 impacting 121,605 vehicles. The system may fail to recognize pedestrians, cyclists, or objects affecting the AEB activation. A free software update will be provided by dealers.
Owners with repeated repairs for water intrusion, safety system failures, or unresolved recall work may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consulting legal resources early is advisable if defects persist after service attempts.
