These concerns focus primarily on vehicle safety components and regulatory compliance.

There are 9 recalls addressing various safety and compliance issues, affecting systems including tire pressure monitoring, air bag inflators, seat belts, accelerator pedals, and labeling. These recalls involve substantial numbers of vehicles and include fixes ranging from recalibration to parts replacement.

Recalls
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring System. (NHTSA Recall 11V148000) About 22,000 vehicles were affected due to failure in recalibration of the TPMS when factory wheels and tires were replaced with authorized accessories. This defect prevents the low tire pressure warning from illuminating at the required pressure, increasing the risk of tire failure and crashes. Dealers will recalibrate the system and update the tire and loading label free of charge.
  • Load Carrying Capacity Labels. (NHTSA Recall 10V036000) Approximately 153,418 vehicles were sold without proper load capacity modification labels, risking vehicle overloading and potential crashes. Dealers will mail corrected labels or install them at no charge.
  • Accelerator Pedal Sticking. (NHTSA Recall 12V305000) A total of 164,601 vehicles were recalled because unsecured or incompatible driver’s floor mats might trap the accelerator pedal in the wide open position. This increases risk of high speeds and difficulty stopping, leading to potential crashes. The remedy includes pedal modification or replacement and replacement of floor mats as needed.
  • Passenger Air Bag Inflator Module. (NHTSA Recall 18V887000) Around 89,740 vehicles face a risk due to seat belt tension sensor wire harness breaking, which deactivates multiple passenger airbags including frontal, knee, and seat-mounted side airbags. This increases injury risk in crashes. Dealers will modify or replace the front passenger seat belt assembly free of charge.
  • Occupant Classification Sensor. (NHTSA Recall 18V887000) The same 89,740 vehicles are affected by the potential deactivation of airbags due to sensor harness failure, increasing injury risk during collisions. Repairs coincide with the seat belt assembly fix.
  • Front Seat Belts. (NHTSA Recall 18V887000) The identical group of 89,740 vehicles is included in this recall to address wire harness issues that could deactivate airbags, contributing to crash injury risk. The fix is combined with passenger air bag and sensor repairs.
  • Incorrect Air Bag Installation. (NHTSA Recall 17V548000) Twenty-one vehicles were equipped with incorrect driver or front passenger airbags that fail to comply with safety standards. The risk includes air bags not deploying properly in a crash. Dealers will replace affected air bag assemblies at no cost.

Owners dealing with repeated safety-related repairs or unresolved recall issues should consider consulting their state’s lemon law provisions. Legal rights may apply for vehicles with ongoing safety defects or extensive recall histories.
