Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2020 Corolla Hatchback vehicles. A rear hatch wire harness connector may have been damaged during assembly, which may cause the back-up lights to fail.

Risk: If the back-up lights fail, there can be an increased risk of a crash while the vehicle is reversing.

Gulf States Toyota (GST) is recalling certain 2019 C-HR, 4Runner, Avalon, Avalon Hybrid, Camry, Camry Hybrid, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Prius, RAV4, Sequoia, Tacoma, Sienna, Tundra and Yaris vehicles. The text on the load capacity label may become illegible. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

Risk: If the driver cannot read the label, they may unknowingly overload the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

The contact owns a 2025 Toyota Corolla Hatchback. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the information screen froze. The contact stated that, occasionally, a black screen was displayed. In addition, the navigation system and other touch icons on the screen failed to function as designed. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the Bluetooth system had failed to connect automatically as intended. The dealer replaced an unknown module; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired after the most recent failure. The contact stated that the failure had occurred since the vehicle was purchased and became progressively worse. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION

The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback. The contact stated that while approaching a stop light, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the clutch pedal; however, while attempting to release the clutch pedal, the clutch pedal lowered to the floorboard independently. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact coasted to the side of the road, maneuvered the gear shifter into second gear, and drove the vehicle to the residence without the proper use of the clutch. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware. The failure mileage was 80,000. 04/15/2025: The contact wanted add to the complaint the vehicle had been taken two independent mechanics and the vehicle was diagnosed with slave cylinder failure. The vehicle had been repaired.
