FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

1. Driving on the highway with adaptive cruise control feels like taming a wild horse. Pulls side to side, even after alignment and total check up from Toyota. 2. Engine Maintenace required now warning light. This came on at 106,458 miles on Toyota Camry 21 LE. Randomly turned on. Off when air con was turned off, light came back on when air con was turned on. Took to Toyota dealership, repaired at no cost, Coolant bypass valve circuit short to battery or open, known concern by Toyota. DTC p268115 Confirmed and repaired at no cost, customer care warranty. 3. Headlights full of water, condensation at 70,000 miles. Regular Maintenace each 5k miles, bought extended protection plan for 4k, purchased car brand new in 2021 0 miles. at 70k the headlights I noticed condensation inside the headlights. I thought it would go away, later at 100,000 miles both headlights at the same time started to flicker, then DRL only worked, and turn signals and side markers. LED assembly went out completely dead. DRL then stopped working. Headlight retaining clips pulled away from the body of the car. Completely plastic. Headlight seal is completely worn and is peeling away from the headlight. Toyota just inspected car at 106,000 miles nothing said about the headlights. Now at 114k, Need to replace entire headlight on my own. 1 headlight is 1900 at toyota. must replace entire assembly, since it is a LED module. cracks in top mounting latches, entirely plastic. LED circuit board inside headlight covered in corrosion. Kioto Mexico DM026 is the chip inside the headlight located under the LED module. LED lights last 10-15 years. I didn't know I was supposed to reseal a headlight after 3 years. Toyota never told me this, not in the manual either. My headlights are done for. it costs 3000-4000 for OEM. No help from Toyota so far. Quaity issue with LED headlight unit on both sides. Plastic housing falling apart, cracking, clips snapped and breaking, no accidents. others have this issue

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING

The rear camera has stopped working. It started working intermittently approximately 6 months ago and now it does not work at all. The warning light saying that it was not available would come on when it first started having a problem but that stopped when it stopped working completely. It will show rear cross traffic alert at times but no picture and not every time there is traffic. It has been inspected for any sign of damage to camera wiring, none found

Took my car in to the dealership when the SRS light came on. Dealership initially said it was due to damage to the electrical harness We paid over 8000 for repairs and got our car back. We had to take the vehicle back 2 more times as the light kept coming back on. The final fix the dealership did to finally make the SRS light stop coming back is the same thing for the fix for the recall for the SRS in Toyotas even though my vin is not on the list

POWER TRAIN

Was driving in a FastTrack/commuter lane on the Interstate at 65MPH, all of a sudden my car would not accelerate forward. It coasted a bit. I was able to stop between the Fastrack lane and an exit space, in the triangular median. I easily could have gotten hit, especially if I had been where there was no painted median I decided to walk behind the sand filled garbage cans that were infrint of the guardrail. I feared people might miss their exit and kill me. Behind those cans seemed safer. I was told by Toyota Dealer my transmission needs replacement. It's covered under manufacture warrenty. I bought car in August 2021 new from dealer.it has 51808 miles.

My airbags didn’t deploy when chevy Silverado truck and collided into front end drivers side. Speed was 35 mph whole hood of my car is shifted and drives side front end is demolished. It’s been reported to at fault insurance and is supposed to go into body shop on the 16th of June. So available for inspection until then? There is a police report but not sure about inspection? No warnings or messages. I have whiplash and possible concussion

The dealership that sold me the vehicle failed to inform me of the open recall, and I later learned that it involves the airbag system—a critical safety component. After checking my VIN, I confirmed that the recall is officially registered as: - NHTSA Recall Number: 23V865 - Manufacturer Recall Number: 23TB15 - Date Issued: December 20, 2023 - Recall Status: Recall Incomplete – Remedy Not Yet Available According to the recall summary, the issue involves potentially defective Occupant Classification System (OCS) sensors in the front passenger seat, which may have been improperly manufactured. This defect can result in the airbag failing to deploy as designed in certain crashes, thereby increasing the risk of injury to passengers. Toyota has not yet made a remedy available and only estimates a solution might arrive by Quarter 3 of 2024, which remains uncertain due to parts availability. In the meantime, I have been unable to refinance my vehicle due to this unresolved recall, and this situation has directly impacted my financial health. This is not only a severe safety risk but also a major consumer protection concern. I urge NHTSA to take swift action to ensure that Toyota expedites the availability of the remedy and prevents further financial and safety consequences for affected consumers. I was hit from the rear while my vehicle was at a stop. The vehicle was going estimated 50mph and moved my vehicle about 12 feet colliding with the vehicle in from of me. I would think the impact of the front collision should have been enough to have the airbags deploy. The camry was totaled.

I bought a vehicle with a salvage title and I want to DM. V to register i'm there request to me to do California highway petrol Salvage inspection. california highway patrol Told me to fix the recall first to get salvage Inspection or get a letter from Toyota stating that parts are not available and they will take full responsibility in the event that a malfunction occurs. I want to Toyota dealership to get my recall fixed. And they said they cannot fix it yet. Because its says "Remedy Not Available" on the recall. I called toyota brand Engagement center to ask for a letter, and they said that they can't give me a letter. So now I can't get my car registered. Thank you
