The slide-Out room can be deployed without the parking brake engaged, allowing the room to extend while the vehicle is in motion.
Risk: A slide-Out room that extends unexpectedly increases the risk of a crash.
2022 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
3374 vehicles affected
EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER:LPG SYSTEMS:LINES AND FITTINGS
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2022 Scope, Tellaro, Sanctuary, Delano, Sequence, Tranquility, Rize, Synergy, Quantum, Magnitude, Geneva, Compass, Chateau, Four Winds, and 2022-2023 Tiburon, and Gemini vehicles. The quick disconnect fittings in the LP gas system may be cracked, causing a gas leak.
Risk: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.
2023 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
262 vehicles affected
EQUIPMENT:RECREATIONAL VEHICLE/TRAILER
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2022-2023 Four Winds, Quantum, Chateau, and 2022 Geneva motorhomes. The electric retractable awning has a welded seam on the fabric that may separate, potentially allowing the awning to drop beyond normal operation.
Risk: An awning that drops or extends beyond normal operation can increase the risk of injury.
2021 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
190 vehicles affected
EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:OVEN/STOVE/COOKTOP
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2021 Four Winds motorhomes, equipped with Dometic 3 burner cooking stoves. The saddle valve securing bolt may be overtightened, possibly damaging the o-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak.
Risk: A gas leak can increase the risk of a fire.
2021 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
63 vehicles affected
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY:CABLES
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2021 Daybreak, Four Winds, Quantum, Chateau, and Freedom Elite motorhomes built on the 2020 Ford E-Series chassis. The battery cable may not have been properly secured within the chassis rail, which can cause it to contact the exhaust manifold and heat shield.
Risk: Battery cable contact with the exhaust manifold and heat shield can increase the risk of a fire.
2020 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
566 vehicles affected
SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS:HOSES, LINES/PIPING, AND FITTINGS
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2020 Daybreak, Four Winds, Delano, Gemini, Quantum, Tiburon, Chateau Citation, Compass, Chateau, Siesta, Freedom Elite, and Synergy motorhomes built on Mercedes Benz Sprinter chassis [platform 907 (VS30)]. The rear part of the fender liner on the front axle may contact and chafe the brake hose, possibly resulting in a loss of brake fluid.
Risk: If the brake fluid leaks, this may extend the braking distance, increasing the risk of a crash.
2020 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
566 vehicles affected
POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2020 Daybreak, Four Winds, Delano, Gemini, Quantum, Tiburon, Chateau Citation, Compass, Chateau, Siesta, Freedom Elite, and Synergy motorhomes built on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis [platform 907 (VS30)] equipped with automatic transmissions. The owner's manual does not correctly specify the certain conditions under which the automatic parking function (Auto-P) operates.
Risk: If a customer were to rely on the Auto-P function as described in the Operator's Manual, the possibility of a vehicle rollaway or unintended vehicle movement cannot be ruled out which could increase the risk of a crash.
2021 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
71 vehicles affected
VISIBILITY:GLASS, SIDE/REAR
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 ACE, 2021 Four Winds and 2020 Gemini, Axis, Compass, Delano, Windsport, Hurricane, Outlaw, and Vegas motorhomes. The adhesive bond between the glass and the metal hinge frame of the frameless windows may fail which would then allow the glass to detach and fall out.
Risk: If the window glass detaches while the vehicle is moving it could become a projectile, increasing the risk of a crash.
2018 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
248 vehicles affected
SEAT BELTS
Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Daybreak 23DB, 2018-2021 Four Winds 23U, and 2018-2021 Chateau 23U motorhomes. Bolts of the wrong size were used to secure the barrel chair pedestals, allowing the pedestal to separate from the floor in the event of a crash. As such, these motorhomes fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems" and number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
Risk: If the pedestal were to separate from the floor during a crash, the seat belt anchorages may fail, increasing the risk of injury.
2020 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
463 vehicles affected
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING
Thor Motor Coach (Thor) is recalling certain 2020-2021 Daybreak, Four Winds, Quantum, Delano, Tiburon, Chateau and Freedom Elite motorhomes and 2020 Gemini, Chateau Citation, Compass, Siesta, and Synergy motorhomes built on Sprinter Van chassis (platform 970 (VS30), equipped with swivel seats. The wiring harnesses for the front seats may have been routed incorrectly and could become jammed and damaged in the swivel seat frames.
Risk: If the wiring harness is damaged, the side air bag within the seat may deploy inadvertently or not deploy as designed in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.

2026 THOR MOTOR COACH FOUR WINDS
ID: 2114490WHEELS
The vehicle I rented — a Thor RV based on a Ford E350 — was handed over with a missing lug nut on one wheel and a dangerously loose lug nut on the opposite rear wheel. The component that failed is part of the wheel fastener system (lugs/nuts/bolts). It is not available for inspection now, as the vehicle has since been returned to the rental company. This situation posed a serious safety risk — had the remaining nuts failed while driving, the wheel could have detached entirely, potentially leading to a crash or injury. I noticed the issue during a basic inspection many miles after the pickup. I was forced to buy and install a replacement lug nut myself to make the vehicle roadworthy and safe to drive. I have the propf that the vehicule was handed over to me with a missing lug nut as the video I took during tje check in shows the missing lug nut. The issue was confirmed independently by me, and I informed the rental company immediately. They acknowledged the problem and promised to refund the cost of the part. However, it has now been over two months, and they have neither issued the refund nor provided any follow-up. The vehicle was not inspected by police, manufacturer, or insurance, as I managed to resolve the issue myself to avoid driving in unsafe conditions. There were no warning lights or messages — only a physical inspection revealed the problem. I am filing this report because I believe the company rented out a mechanically unsafe vehicle, and others could be at risk if this is not addressed.
