The 2014 THOMAS BUILT BUSES SAF-T-LINER EF has 0 complaints and 6 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report issues related to fuel system defects and wheelchair lift problems based on the recall data.

Six recalls address defects in the fuel and mobility equipment systems. The affected areas include auxiliary fuel pickup tube labels that detach and wheelchair lifts with faulty link arm pivots.

Recalls
  • Auxiliary fuel pickup tube labels. Recalls FL-643 (NHTSA 13V364000 and 13V365000) affect 245 buses. Detached labels can fall into the fuel tank and block fuel delivery, causing the engine to stumble, run erratically, or stall. This raises crash risk. Dealers will inspect and remove any labels free of charge. Notifications began in October 2013.
  • Wheelchair lift folding link arms. Recall FL-686 (NHTSA 15V565000 and 15V564000) covers 4,386 buses. The lifts have pivot holes that may be too large, allowing bearings to shift and leading to potential failure of the platform mount. The wheelchair lift platform could fall when doors open, risking injury. Dealers will inspect and replace damaged parts at no cost. Recall started November 2015.
