  • Wheelchair Lift Roll Stop Latches. Recalls 12V226000 and 12V225000 affect 990 buses combined. Bent or misaligned latches can fail to secure wheelchairs on elevated lifts, risking occupant falls and injury. Repairs by authorized dealers are free and no Do Not Drive notice applies.
  • Emergency Door Handle Stem. Recalls 15V432000 and 15V425000 involve over 106,000 vehicles. Corrosion may cause door handles to detach, delaying emergency evacuation and increasing injury risk. Dealers will replace or protect stems at no charge; no parking or driving restrictions are issued.
  • Brake Dragging. Recall 19V444000 affects 11,546 buses with Bendix Air Disc Brakes where rear driver-side brakes may drag, causing overheating, smoke, fire hazards, and evacuation risk. Calipers will be replaced free starting August 2019 without Do Not Drive advisories.

Owners dealing with repeated repairs, unresolved recall issues, or safety defects may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consulting with a consumer protection attorney can help clarify those rights.
