2015 TEREX TCX

EQUIPMENT
Terex South Dakota, Inc. (Terex) is recalling certain 2009-2016 TCX60/85 and SML65/90 aerial devices. The rod eyes on the 25ft lift cylinders may fail prematurely.
Risk: If the rod eye fails the lift boom will drift down. The remaining cylinder may not support the boom fully and will slowly leak down. These scenarios increase the risk of an injury.
2016 TEREX TCX
440 vehicles affected
EQUIPMENT
Terex South Dakota, Inc. (TSD) is recalling certain model year 2016 HR, HRX, LT, LTM, TL, TC, and TCX aerial devices manufactured January 1, 2016, to May 12, 2016. These aerial devices have a hydraulic motor whose shaft may fail resulting in unexpected boom rotation or winch movement.
Risk: Unexpected boom rotation or winch movement may increase the risk of injury.
2012 TEREX TCX
6 vehicles affected
EQUIPMENT
Terex South Dakota (TSD) is recalling certain model year 2009-2014 Terex TC, and TCX hybrid electric trucks manufactured June 8, 2009, to July 30, 2014 and equipped with aerial devices. The affected vehicles may be improperly wired, and as a result, the aerial boom may move unintentionally when the hydraulic tools are being used.
Risk: Inadvertent boom movement can cause the platform to strike objects in the work area, increasing the risk of injury to the operator.
2016 TEREX TCX
400 vehicles affected
EQUIPMENT
Terex South Dakota (TSD) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 HR, HRX, TC, and TCX Aerial devices manufactured May 4, 2015, to June 15, 2016. The platform leveling cylinder on the affected vehicles may have poor welds, and as a result, platform leveling cylinder may fail at the elbow, allowing the platform to tilt.
Risk: If the platform tilts, the platform occupant may fall, increasing their risk of injury.
