Recalls
  • Parking brake air pressure. Recall 15V479000 affects 64 units. The low output pressure of the inversion relay valve may cause insufficient air pressure for the rear axle parking brake, risking brake overheating and potential fire. Temsa will repair free of charge.
  • Headlights failure. Recall 14V768000 covers 38 vehicles. A malfunction in the headlamp control module may cause headlamps and daytime running lamps to fail, reducing visibility and increasing crash risk. Dealers will update software at no cost.
  • Emergency exit labels. Recall 19V646000 involves 557 buses. Inadequate emergency exit window labels may delay opening during emergencies, increasing injury risk. Labels will be inspected and replaced as needed free of charge.
  • Roof emergency exit handle. Recall 21V454000 affects 295 vehicles. Rusted wire in the external release handle may break under force, delaying exit and increasing injury risk. Service centers will replace the wire at no cost.
  • Leveling valve linkage fasteners. Recall 17V310000 involves 167 motorcoaches. Improper fasteners may loosen and detach, risking tire damage and crashes. New brackets and fasteners will be installed free of charge.
  • Hydraulic steering hoses. Recall 19V557000 covers 289 buses. Steering system hoses may leak or burst, causing loss of steering control and increasing crash risk. Dealers will inspect and replace hoses free.
  • Tag axle steering hoses. Recall 17V498000 involves 205 coaches. Hydraulic hoses may leak or burst, risking loss of control and fire from fluid contact with hot engine parts. Hose replacements will be performed free of charge.
  • Air bellow protection cover. Recall 17V470000 affects 184 vehicles. The cover may bend and damage tag axle tires, causing flats and increasing crash risk. Dealers will replace the cover free of charge.

Owners with repeated repairs or unresolved recall issues related to safety and mechanical defects may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consulting legal support could assist in understanding these rights.

STRUCTURE:EMERGENCY:ESCAPE/EGRESS/EXIT:LATCHING/RELEASE SYSTEM

Temsa is recalling certain 2014-2020 TS45 buses. The external release handle for the roof emergency exit may have a rusted wire, which could break when force is applied to open the exit. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."

Risk: A broken handle wire on the emergency exit can delay passengers from exiting the vehicle during an emergency, increasing their risk of injury.

Temsa Global Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (Temsa) is recalling 2013-2020 certain TS35C, TS35E and TS45 buses. The instruction label of the emergency exit windows may be inadequate to clearly describe how to open the push out windows quickly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."

Risk: Delays in opening emergency exits can increase the risk of an injury in the event of an emergency.

TIRES

Temsa Global Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (Temsa) is recalling certain 2014-2018 TS45 motorcoaches. During use or while servicing, the air bellow protection cover may be bent, allowing it to contact and potentially damage the tires on the tag axle.

Risk: The contact may cause a tire to go flat, affecting vehicle handling and increasing the risk of crash.
