Takata has determined that the inflators in certain frontal passenger-side air bag inflators it manufactured and supplied to various vehicle manufacturers may produce excessive internal pressure causing the inflators to rupture upon deployment of the air bag.

Risk: In the event of a crash resulting in a deployment of the passenger's air bag, the inflator could rupture, with metal fragments striking and potentially seriously injuring the passenger seat occupant or other occupants.

I purchased at [XXX] [XXX] owner) a porsche 992.1 replacement steering wheel with airbag for $1200.00 upon receipt I noted the airbag was a known recalled airbag from Takata and attempted many times >12 emails to obtain a new non-recalled version of this and the seller has not been willing to replace or refund. The seller is known on various forums (Rennlist) and continues to sell defective airbags to unsuspecting people.
