Recalls- Air conditioner fuse holder. Recall 11V227000 affects 2,130 vehicles from 2006 to 2010 equipped with Carrier GENV EM-1 evaporator units. The fuse may loosen causing high resistance and arcing which can melt the fuse holder and cause a vehicle fire. Startrans will notify owners and provide a retrofit kit free of charge.
- Wheelchair lift roll stop latches. Recall 12V186000 covers 2,060 buses from 2007 to 2010 with Braun Century-2 and Vista-2 lifts. Roll stop latches may bend or misalign, allowing a wheelchair occupant to fall if the lift platform is elevated. Startrans will notify owners and repairs will be made free by authorized Braun dealers.
- Wheelchair lift restraint belts. Recall 10V204000 involves 805 buses from 2007 to 2010 with Ricon public use lifts. The restraint belt can appear latched without fully engaging, allowing the lift to operate unsafely with an occupant. Ricon will provide warning decals and training aids. Remedy performed free of charge.
- Wheelchair lift pendant cables. Recall 13V067000 affects 1,858 buses equipped with Ricon lifts featuring optional armored pendant cables. Improper cable installation or lack of protective cover may cause short circuits and fire risk. Ricon supplies a cover kit and instructions at no cost.
- Wheelchair lift platform side plates. Recall 16V369000 includes 759 buses from 2008 to 2014 with certain Ricon model lifts. Platform side plates may crack and folding link arm pivot holes may allow bearings to move, risking platform mounting failure and potential fall of the lift platform. Inspections and replacement of damaged parts are done free by Ricon dealers.
- Wheelchair lift folding link arms. Recall 16V014000 covers 1,762 buses from 2008 to 2014 with specified Ricon lifts. Pivot holes may be oversized causing bearing displacement, which risks platform mounting failure and lift platform detachment. Owners will be notified and repairs performed free of charge. This recall follows a similar 2014 recall for affected vehicles.
Owners with repeated repairs, unresolved recall issues, or safety defects involving the 2008 STARTRANS TROLLEY may have rights under their state lemon law. Consulting a legal professional about these rights is recommended.

EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY
Supreme Corporation (Supreme) is recalling certain model year 2008-2014 Azure Hybrid, Candidate, Senator, Senator HD, Senator II, President, President S2, Sentinel, and Trolley shuttle buses manufactured May 9, 2008, to August 9, 2014, equipped with certain model S2005, S2010, S5005, S5010, S5505, and S5510 wheelchair lifts manufactured by Ricon. The affected lifts are equipped with folding link arms that may have pivot holes that are too big, allowing the bearings to move out of position.
Risk: If the bearings move out of position, the stowed platform may have excessive movement resulting in failure of the platform mounting. This failure could cause the wheel chair lift platform to fall out of the vehicle when the doors are opened, increasing the risk of injury for the lift operator.

EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY
STARTRANS BUS IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007 THROUGH 2010 CANDIDATE, CANDIDATE II, SENATOR, SENATOR HD, PRESIDENT, TROLLEY, SENATOR II, AND SENTINAL TRANSIT BUSES MANUFACTURED FROM DECEMBER 2007 THROUGH DECEMBER 18, 2009 AND FITTED WITH RICON PUBLIC USE LIFTS. THE RESTRAINT BELT ON THESE LIFTS WAS DESIGNED TO PREVENT THE LIFT FROM MOVING, UNLESS THE TONGUE OF THE BELT IS FULLY ENGAGED AND LATCHED IN THE BUCKLE. RICON HAS DISCOVERED, HOWEVER, THAT IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THE OPERATOR TO INSERT THE BELT TONGUE INTO THE BUCKLE WITHOUT FULLY ENGAGING THE LATCHING MECHANISM. IN THIS CASE, THE RESTRAINT BELT WOULD APPEAR TO BE LATCHED, AND THE OPERATOR COULD RUN THE LIFT. IF THE RESTRAINT BELT TONGUE IS NOT FULLY ENGAGED INTO THE RESTRAINT BELT BUCKLE, AND LATCHED, THE LIFT MAY OPERATE WITH AN OCCUPANT ON THE PLATFORM.
Risk: THE USER OF THE LIFT COULD BE INJURED SHOULD THE LIFT MOVE WITHOUT THE RESTRAINT BELT PROPERLY BUCKLED.
