- Air conditioner fuse. Recall 11V225000 involves 29 buses from years 2006 through 2010 equipped with Carrier GENV EM-1 evaporators. Fuses may loosen, causing arcing and possible fires. Startrans and Carrier notify owners and offer a retrofit kit at no charge. The recall began April 18, 2011.
- Rear emergency exit door. Recall 11V546000 covers 161 buses from 2007 to 2011 models. The rear exit door is partially blocked by seats, failing FMVSS No. 217. Blocked exits increase injury risk during emergencies. Repairs by dealers began January 23, 2012, free of charge.
- Rearview mirror decals. Recall 11V492000 impacts 444 buses from 2007 to 2011 missing required warning decals on mirrors. Lack of decals reduces safe mirror use and increases crash risk. Startrans mails decals with placement instructions at no cost. Service started November 10, 2011.
- Wheelchair lift platform. Recall 16V369000 affects 759 buses from 2008 through 2014 equipped with Ricon wheelchair lifts. Platform side plates may crack and link arms may have oversized pivot holes causing excessive movement or lift failure. This could cause the platform to fall when doors open, risking injury. Owners are notified to have Ricon inspect and replace faulty parts free of charge. Recall began June 29, 2016.
Owners coping with repeated repairs or safety defects involving recalls may wish to explore their rights under state lemon laws. Persistent safety-related issues or unresolved recall problems could qualify for legal protections.

EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY
Supreme Corporation (Supreme) is recalling certain model year 2008-2014 Startrans Activity Bus, Azure Hybrid, Candidate, Senator, Senator HD, Senator II, President, President S2, Sentinel Van, and Trolley shuttle buses manufactured May 9, 2008, to August 9, 2014, equipped with certain model S2005, S2010, S5005, S5010, S5505, and S5510 wheelchair lifts by Ricon. The platform side plate of the affected wheelchair lifts may crack. Additionally, the lifts are equipped with folding link arms that may have pivot holes that are too big, allowing the bearings to move out of position.
Risk: If the bearings move out of position, the stowed platform may have excessive movement resulting in failure of the platform mounting. This failure could cause the wheel chair lift platform to fall out of the vehicle when the doors are opened, increasing the risk of injury for the lift operator.
