Due to a software malfunction, the anti-lock brake system (ABS) control module may disable the electronic stability control system. Risk: Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.

As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk: An unintended tailgate opening while driving may result in a loss of unsecured cargo, possibly creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle jerked. Additionally, the battery failed to recharge. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the motor generator unit (MGU) and battery pack control module needed to be replaced; however, the battery pack control module was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.

Alternator/generator went out and there are no available parts. This actually happened when I was driving down the interstate at highway speeds. Luckily I was able to pull off on the shoulder far enough so that no one was hurt.

2022 Ram eTorque, while slowing to a stop to turn engine stalls followed by an automatic emergency brake applied. Engine must be restarted, placed in park and brake released. In the last year it has occured 15 to 20 times. My wife refuses to drive this truck considering it to be too dangerous.

The EPS electronic power steering failed while I was driving. At that point I couldn't turn left or right the vehicle would only go straight. Thankfully I was on a local road and was able to stop before i hit anything.

Received several trigger messages on the dashboard and was thankfully able to pull over safely. Placed the truck into park and the. Wasn’t able to place back in gear. When researching there have been numerous other reports of this happening and Ram continues to shrug their shoulders making it the consumers problem. Second time I’m without a car and this time the dealer is claiming it will take nearly a week to even look at it while Ram says until Diagnostics there is no rental car coverage for the consumer. Had to have my truck towed after stranding me and my two kids on side of the road. Tow truck driver said he towed another 2022 Laramie just like mine last week and and that was his fourth time having the issue. He seemed to think it’s a sensor above the back window. This needs to be properly researched before someone is seriously injured as it happens at no particular reason.

The dashboard Leather is delaminating causing viewing of the heads up display and lower windshield to be difficult, It also causes condensation build up on the windshield because the leather is redirecting the air. This Truck has 10245 miles.

SUSPENSION

1. On August 14th, 2025, Rear Air Ride Suspension failed. Received a “ Service Air Suspension Immediately” warning light right before the air suspension failed and lost control of the rear suspension. Yes it’s available for inspection. 2. The rear shocks lost air and the vehicle started to drive erratically and bouncing up and down. Could not keep control of the steering due to this. 3. It was confirmed at the dealership 8/18/2025 when the dealer representative installed the diagnostic reader in my obd port of my vehicle they determined codes for air leak and possible faulty air compressor or rear Air shocks. 4. The vehicle nor it’s components have not been inspected by manufacturer, police or insurance representative. 5. No previous warnings of this issue.

This truck has shut down on me, put itself into park and set the ebrake numerous times. Twice it restarted right away, one time it died and would not restart because the battery was completely discharged. It have been in service 3 times, the 1st time no faults were found, the truck was in the shop for 2 months. The second time the vehicle was in the shop for 2 or 3 months and the etorque was replaced. Currently the vehicle is in the shop, the dealership said the truck started right up with no faults found, the shop is trying to find the fault.

Thinking it was a pulley bearing, made repair appointment. By 7/28/25 the whining had turned to grinding. Dashboard lit up with warning lights, truck went into limp mode and eventually completely died in middle of road on way back to dealer. The seal around the back window is leaking. I have a 2022 Ram 1500 that was completed and picked up on 01/21/2022. Therefore, my vehicle was built in 2021. The issue is reoccurring and constantly leaks inside the cab of the truck when it rains. The truck smell musky and damp. The water leaks all the way under the seat and gets items wet in the under seat compartments.

The sun visor mount broke unexpectedly and blocked my vision as I was driving and almost caused an accident, I was driving on a country road and that probably prevented the accident.

The electric steering in my 2022 RAM 1500 Classic pickup failed at 40,000 miles and about 2 years & 11 months after I bought it new. It went from driving fine when pulling out from our vacation rental cabin to absolutely no power assistance 1/4 mile down the long driveway out to the highway. Thank goodness I was driving slowly because I was caught totally off guard and barely stopped before I would’ve gone into the ditch and a very large tree! I immediately called the RAM dealer where I purchased the truck and was told the earliest I could get it in for service was in over 2 weeks! So I contacted an independent garage who used to service my previous vehicles & they could get my truck in & diagnosed immediately so I took it in— code says EPS failed & I need a $4000 complete replacement of the steering system! I expect Chrysler to cover my cost for this repair. It’s obviously a known defective design.

This time the check engine light came on, then a few minutes later the battery low voltage light came on, all while I was driving at speed on the expressway. The truck never shut off and I was able to make it to my destination safely but I feared the same issue from 2 years ago was happening again. I immediately had the 12v battery replaced under the hood the same day and got an oil change to make sure it wasn’t either of those things triggering the check engine light. The check engine light remained on and so I was able to bring it to the dealership with the battery voltage gauge reading 11.2 at the lowest while on the way. They hooked up the code reader for the check engine light which showed error code: P0A78 - Drive Motor A Inverter Performance, leaving me unable to drive the truck home as it is unsafe to drive at this point for fear the truck would lose power while under way. As it stands, truck is at the dealership awaiting further diagnostics for the same issue that’s been happening since I bought the truck new in December, 2021.

SERVICE BRAKES

Check Engine Light came on at start. Drove a few miles. Stopped at a stop sign. Upon accelerating into a right hand turn, truck stopped, emergency brake engaged, lights came on the panel stating park assist is not availaible, disengage e-brake to start engine. After disengaging the emergency brake the engine started. Later same day stopped at red light. Stalled out again when accelerating when light changed. Was able to restart after disenging the emergency brake. Minutes later attempting to park in a parking lot at low speed stalled out for again. Was able to restart after disengaging the emergency brake. This happened on a Saturday. When I started the truck Monday to take to the dealer for service the check engine light was no longer on. Dealer reports no codes found. This is the 4th time to the dealer in three months for random stalling issue.

My back up camera has went out, I took it to be repaired at the dealership they said it was disconnected. It was reconnected at that time. It has quit again doing the same thing it was doing before. I have not disconnected any wires that would cause this issue.

They say it was due to water damage and they stated this was caused by a faulty seal on the vehicle's and water entered the truck. When attempting to merge with traffic and accelerate quickly the transmission occasionally will stay locked in a lower gear leading the engine to stall out causing a collision risk. This usually occurs when attempting to accelerate quickly. When accelerating from a stopped position, there is a delay in power which requires the operator to time their merges in anticipation of this problem. This also caused the vehicle to lurch forward adding to the risks of accidental collision.

STEERING

Steering does not work right when turn left on long left turns like exits. It is like it stick at that location and you have to give more force to come out of the turn then when you go back it start over like it back and forth on the long swiping turns. Any other time it is fine. Scary on the highway. It start when under warranty to it a couple times but the dealer could not make it happen it still happening but now out of warranty.

SUSPENSION

On Sunday [XXX] my family and I were driving home from Fort Smith Arkansas and the truck lost the entire front right suspension. When I purchased the truck ([XXX]) from Meador Dodge I purchased the truck with the lift, tires and wheels that were installed by Meador dodge. In July of 2023 I took the truck to Alliance Dodge for an oil change and alignment. The Alliance dealership informed me at that time that the factory control arms were still on the truck and with the lift that Meador Dodge installed they should have installed the correct control arms for the lift. Due to availability based on Meadors schedule i was not able to get the truck repaired by Meador until December of 2023. Date of purchase : [XXX] Date found that the wrong control arms on the truck: [XXX] - Truck had 20,088 Miles Date when correct control arms were installed: December 20,2023 - Truck had 26105 Miles Date of Accident: [XXX] - Truck had 46,186 Miles on it In short due to Meador not installing the correct control arms and I drove the truck for over 26,000 miles which is more than 1/2 of the miles driven on the truck that the incorrect control arms caused the other parts to fail and caused the accident. The information system with the back up camera will lock up and not display the back up view or will display a view as a photo and not a video. It is making a loud buzzing noise when it is happening. It will then shut down and restart on its own, this usually takes about 2 minutes and then it is OK until i turn it off and restart it again. Does not happen every time but I would say that it happens 3 out of 5 times I start the vehicle.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

The right turn signal light will not cancel when setting the turn signal back to neutral. The left turn will not light up the left signal. Setting the turn signal to the left signal has become the only way to cancel the right turn signal light.

On two occasions, separated by a period of weeks, while traveling approximately 25 mph, the vehicle's engine died without warning. This prompted autobraking that brought the vehicle to a stop. I was required to put the vehicle into park and was able to restart the engine, release the parking brake, and continue. A review of various forums indicates this is a known problem among other Ram 1500 owners who have experienced more severe circumstances, including crashes, as a result. Feedback from the dealership is that they are unable to reproduce the event and have no guidance on how to correct.

I was traveling at low speeds and made a left hand turn and the vehicle stalled. The next day was at the same spot and made the same left turn and the vehicle stalled again.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

On separate occasions, both the driver and passenger side visors spontaneously detached and fell into the line of sight while driving. In the case of the driver side visor, I was traveling on the interstate at approximately 75 mph when the visor failed and fell into my light of sight, impairing visibility. The failure was also sudden and distracting. The passenger side visor failed in the same way about 9 months later. It appears that a part securing the visor to the roof of the vehicle is defective and can fail without warning.

SERVICE BRAKES

My truck has been at the dealer for over a month for recall 24V-653 for part 68728723AA (ABS control module). Dealer took the truck in fried the abs module trying to flash the module. They ordered a new module but has been on backorder and there is no ETA on the part delivery. I have yet to even receive a fair replacement of the vehicle that is out of order from either dealer or manufacture.

On [XXX], shortly after [XXX], I was driving between 25–30 mph on a public road in California, my 2022 RAM 1500 with a 5.7L HEMI eTorque engine, stalled without warning. The vehicle automatically engaged the parking brake and shifted to park, causing an abrupt stop. A dashboard message appeared making me aware of the parking brake engagement. Another vehicle was closely following, creating a high risk of a rear-end collision. I have been driving as a Stuntwoman in films and television shows for over a decade and this genuinely scared me. I have never experienced anything like it in my life. The vehicle hesitated before restarting, and the check engine light (MIL) illuminated immediately. The battery light came on intermittently while driving home. The check engine light remains on as of May 11, 2025. Diagnostic codes read on May 11, 2025, show P1C64 (Stored, Pending, Permanent). The vehicle is available for inspection upon request, however, I will be bringing my truck back to the dealership that I purchased it from for repair. The sudden stalling and braking in traffic posed a significant safety risk, nearly resulting in a collision due to the inability to control the vehicle or warn other drivers. The problem has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center, as no repair attempts have been made and the car has not moved from my driveway. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others. Prior to the failure, there were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms; the stalling occurred suddenly. The P1C64 code, confirmed after the incident, aligns with NHTSA complaints and investigation PE24018 (July 19, 2024) into stalling and low voltage issues in 2022 RAM 1500 eTorque vehicles. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed, and the contact was informed that there was a failure with the driveshaft causing the hesitation. POWER TRAIN

On more than five occasions, the engine shut off without warning and the emergency brake and battery light came on. All instances occurred when I was slowing down at a stop sign or attempting to turn. I have taken my truck to at least 3 differend dealerships regarding the issues. The Horne dealership in Show Low, AZ, connected a code reader and stated it could be the eco battery system and if I drove the truck more it would most likely recharge on its own. They further stated it was a low etorque battery system malfunction. No paperwork was initiated. The Jim Marsh dealership in Las Vegas, stated they knew what the probem was and it would be 10 days to get the part in to make the repair. They gave me a rental car under my Mopar warranty and sent me on my way as I was out of state. The next day they called me and stated it was fixed and put in a new standard battery (which I paid for) and not the etorque battery. One month later the same thing occurred. The engine shut off again without warning. I'm in the process of taking it back to my local dealership.

Brakes were almost unresponsive, and rolled about 60 seconds until truck finally shifted into park on its own and applied emergency brake. After the truck got to a complete stop, it started back up and drove fine the final 2 minutes of the drive home. No warnings/ check engine lights/ malfunction messages were displayed, no obvious signs of issues. 1. The malfunctioning component would be the motor, as it stalled out for seemingly no reason. But issue could be incorrect supply (voltage/ fuel/ air/) so something like the (fuel pump/ alternator/ control modules) could be actual culprit why truck stalled out 2. The safety of me and my passengers was at risk because we stalled out in the middle of an intersection, had it been a stop sign on a road with flowing traffic moving above 25 mph, an accident would most certainly be a good possibility. 3. The problem hasn't been reproduced by dealer or mechanic. Research into this topic yields countless similar issues with similar year and models by Ram. 4. No, vehicle want inspected by anyone but myself. This occurred in a small neighborhood with little to no traffic and no accident resulted from the truck shutting off. 5. Only symptom was a few seconds earlier, where from a complete stop it felt like the gas pedal wasn't responding at all, low rpm and almost stalling, then all the sudden the transmission "slipped" into gear and surged forward. The next stop sign 100 feet ahead is where the truck stalled and wouldn't start for a minute as i rolled uncontrollably thru the intersection, and it finally hard shifted into park and applied e-brake

Going thru neighborhood stop signs, stopped at the first one and when i tried to take off I noticed the gas pedal wasn't accelerating vehicle like normal/ felt like a transmission slipping issue, but it finally "hooked up" and surged forward 100 feet to next stop sign, and after i stopped I hit gas pedal again only to stall out and roll thru the intersection. Brakes were almost unresponsive, and rolled about 60 seconds until truck finally shifted into park on its own and applied emergency brake. After the truck got to a complete stop, it started back up and drove fine the final 2 minutes of the drive home. No warnings/ check engine lights/ malfunction messages were displayed, no obvious signs of issues. 1. The malfunctioning component would be the motor, as it stalled out for seemingly no reason. But issue could be incorrect supply (voltage/ fuel/ air/) so something like the (fuel pump/ alternator/ control modules) could be actual culprit why truck stalled out 2. The safety of me and my passengers was at risk because we stalled out in the middle of an intersection, had it been a stop sign on a road with flowing traffic moving above 25 mph, an accident would most certainly be a good possibility. 3. The problem hasn't been reproduced by dealer or mechanic. Research into this topic yields countless similar issues with similar year and models by Ram. 4. No, vehicle want inspected by anyone but myself. This occurred in a small neighborhood with little to no traffic and no accident resulted from the truck shutting off. 5. Towards the end of the summer of 2024 I received a recall notice #79B, rearview camera visibility. I brought my vehicle to Rockland CJD in Nanuet in September 2024, I was informed at that time that there was not a repair to correct the situation. I have since received another recall notice #97A also rearview camera visibility. I brought my vehicle to Rockland CJD today 04/10/2025 for service and to resolve the recall. I have been told that neither recall could be found through searching up the VIN. My vehicle is experiencing the problems described in the notice, blue screen or no display when shifted in reverse. I would like to be able to have this situation taken care of.

To date the manufacturer is unwilling to acknowledge the problem or help. I was informed today that it was "fixed" (this time "battery pack") but I'm afraid to drive it after my life was placed in danger after two "fixes". It has been in their possession for over 3 months and it would be illogical to believe they understand the root cause and that the issue is truly fixed. When giving the vehicle gas after a stop sign. The vehicle threw itself into emergency break and shut off in the middle of an intersection. Had to turn off the emergency brake and restart the vehicle. This has happened multiple times. The vehicle almost stalls consistently after coming out of a stop sign or making a slow right turn.

Upholstery under the driver and rear passenger seat is detached with exposed zippers. Truck is falling apart before it even reaches 30,000 miles but because of the time frame, despite the low miles and mostly highway driving in a rural area, out of warranty

Was driving on interstate coming home from Texas when we encountered a winter storm that was producing freezing rain. We were running the defroster on high to stop the ice buildup that was occurring on the windshield when the air suddenly stopped blowing through the defroster vents and diverted to the floor vents. Our safety and others was compromised by the ice being able to build up and significantly reducing our visibility effectively causing us to have to stop on the offramps to de-ice the windshield. Against my better judgement I did not take vehicle to the dealer because other drivers of similar vehicles had reported that they have experienced similar results in similar conditions. There were no warning lamps or prior symptoms associated with this event.

I purchased the truck used five days ago from a dealership and today the engine shut off on me approximately 12 times. Most occurred while putting the truck into reverse or drive. I was exiting my driveway and the engine turned off halfway into the street. I was unable to move it and since I had to pick up my child, I left the truck halfway in my drive way and half on the street. When I returned home I was able to drive the truck, but approximately 7 minutes later it turned off on me when I turned into a shopping center. The last two times it turned off on me (all on the same day) it occurred while I was on the freeway driving approximately 70 mph. The engine just shut off so I pulled over to the side of the freeway. There is premature bearing ware on the E-Torque alternator. When taken into dealer was told not to drive the vehicle due to the fact the vehicle will eventually lose power and may be stranded. When taken in was not given a time line for when the part will be in. When looking on line noticed there is approximately 4200 parts on back order . Some individuals stating they have been waiting 3-4 months. While the vehicle sits in the drive way waiting for part still have to make payments and trying to find rides to work which is over an hour each way!!

The contact stated that after leaving the dealer from completing the recall remedy for an unknown recall related to the fuel pump and while driving at 20 MPH, half a mile from leaving the dealer, the vehicle started to smoke and an abnormal sound came from the vehicle as the front windshield cracked. The check engine warning light illuminated. The contact then tried to make a U-turn and return to the dealer. The vehicle suddenly stopped and shut off. Other drivers started to honk in an effort to alert the contact that there were flames coming from the vehicle. The contact then saw smoke coming out of the front part of the vehicle and exited the vehicle. The Fire Department was on scene and extinguished the fire. The origin of the fire was unknown. The fire took place at the intersection of [XXX] . The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. The vehicle was consumed by the fire. In October 2024, my 2022 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, which I purchased brand new from Lynch Ram in Wisconsin, suffered a catastrophic fuel system failure while I was driving. The fuel rail—previously under recall—cracked, spraying diesel fuel all over the engine bay and sending smoke and fumes through the cabin vents. While the truck didn’t catch fire, the situation posed a serious safety risk. I had to have it towed to Zeigler Ram in Downers Grove, Illinois, where they confirmed that the failure was due to the known recall issue. They replaced the part under warranty, despite previously stating that the necessary component had been unavailable for months. Fast forward to February 2025, and the exact same issue occurred again while I was on a road trip to Michigan. Once again, the fuel rail cracked, spraying fuel over the engine and sending fumes into the cabin. My truck was towed to Zeigler Ram in Grandville, Michigan, where it's now awaiting repairs. This means the replacement part only lasted four months before failing in the same dangerous manner. Serious Safety Concerns Fire Hazard: Diesel fuel being sprayed onto a hot engine creates a significant risk of ignition, which could lead to an engine fire while driving. Cabin Fumes Exposure: Diesel fumes entering the ventilation system can cause driver impairment, dizziness, nausea, and other health risks, especially on long drives. A few days ago (18 Feb 2025)Truck died while coming to a stop light. Would not immediately start, out on flashers and continued to attempt to start. After a few minutes I was able to start and proceeded on my way. Truck has never done this and dash board did not indicate any issues.

STEERING

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 10-15 MPH, the vehicle lost power steering functionality temporarily. The contact stated that the failure recurred intermittently while driving. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with low voltage failure. The mechanic replaced the battery; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced a permanent power steering failure. The vehicle was towed to K B's Auto Lab, where it was diagnosed that the power steering control module (PSCM) had failed. The mechanic contacted the manufacturer and was informed that the vehicle could not be covered because the warranty had expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: EA19004 (Steering). The dealer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000. The VIN was not available.

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:HATCHBACK/LIFTGATE:LOCK

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 45-50 MPH, the tailgate unintendedly opened. While taking boards in a trailer, the tow gate opened and struck the trailer. The contact stated that the tailgate continued to open unexpectedly. While parked and placing groceries in the rear, the tailgate opened. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was previously taken to the local dealer for NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V904000 (Structure). The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no additional assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

They couldn’t find anything so now I’m at a point where the truck doesn’t start without a jump I could probably take a video and show you right now. It’s probably dead. I went on vacation a week of Feb 8 out of town and I had to call my insurance company to give it a jump. There are other times the truck stall or cut off while driving. They drove the car and still couldn’t find the issues that I had and it’s starting to happen again.. so far Falls Dodge has been accommodating, but it’s very frustrating. POWER TRAIN

The complaints describe instances where the engine shuts off unexpectedly, often while the vehicle is moving at a slow speed. Sometimes, the vehicle shifts into park and applies the emergency brake automatically. Additionally, the vehicles sometimes cannot be restarted, and drivers have reported seeing a malfunction warning light with a battery fault symbol on the dashboard. This i found on the internet bud is only mentioned to happen with the v8 hemi etorgue and it is under investigation or something like that. Well, i got the 3.6 V6 engine also with etorque, and i got thid stalling issue 2 times a week now. I dont feel save because what if this happens at a railway crossing? It takes me like 5-10 seconds to put the car in P and taking off the electrical parkingbrake, push the starterbutton and putting the car in D! Please help me on this one.

While slowing down to a stop, my engine would stall. The truck would go from Drive to Park, engages the Emergency Brake, and stalls out. There is still power to the truck. This has happened 4 occasion already and I have brought it into the dealership. The have updated software, changed camshaft and now waiting on "alternator" component. This is a safety issue that I'm very concerned about. Doesn't look like they know the exact problem.

POWER TRAIN

Engine will stall and autoshift in to park and apply emergency parking brake. Happens when trying to accelerate away from a stop. Very dangerous when trying to pull out into traffic. No warning lights or messages on dash.

ENGINE

On two occasions the engine has stalled while trying to accelerate from a stop sign. Both instances were not complete stops and when I tried to accelerate, a warning chime sounded and the engine shut off. I shifted the vehicle into park and it applied the parking break. When restarted the battery light was on and the voltage going to the battery was low. About half of what it normally is. I shut off the vehicle and opened the driver door to "reset" the system and then started the truck. Once I did this there were no issues on my 25 minute drive to work. The engine was not completely up to operating temperature quite yet but was more than halfway there. On another occasion this winter I was stopped at a stop light at the engine shut off as it noramlly would with the E-torque system. When the light turned green I released the brake pedal and went to accelerate and the engine never restarted. I went through a similar procedure to get the truck started again although it did take longer than this morning.

Due to a leak on the back sliding window water entered the vehicle and caused the “RFO” box to break. Dealership told me that is the box that connects the fob keyes to the truck causing the truck to not recognize any keys.

I am writing to file a complaint regarding a serious safety issue with the backup camera system in my Ram 1500.Issue: Since [Date of Issue], the backup camera display on the 12.1-inch screen has been significantly reduced in size. It now occupies only half of the screen, with vehicle controls (climate, audio, etc.) occupying the lower portion. This unexpected change in functionality occurred without any prior notification or explanation. Safety Hazards: Reduced Rearward Visibility: The diminished camera display size severely compromises rearward visibility while backing up. This significantly increases the risk of collisions with pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles, particularly children and low-lying objects. Driver Distraction: The presence of vehicle controls within the camera view creates a significant distraction for the driver during a critical maneuver. This distraction further increases the risk of accidents. Obstructed View: The smaller camera view may obstruct crucial areas behind the vehicle, potentially obscuring children, pets, or other obstacles from the driver's view. Widespread Issue: Research on online forums, including the Ram Forum, indicates that this issue is not isolated and affects multiple Ram 1500 owners with the 12.1-inch display. This suggests a potential systemic software or hardware issue. Dealership Inability to Resolve: I have visited the dealership on [01/17/2025] to address this issue, but they have been unable to resolve it. Requested Action: I request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) thoroughly investigate this serious safety issue. I urge NHTSA to determine whether this constitutes a safety defect in the Ram 1500 and, if necessary, initiate a recall to address this issue and ensure the safety of all Ram 1500 drivers.

No check engine light at all. Autobrake engages. Put it in park and restart. No issues the rest of the day…until the next morning. Has happened multiple times. Took it to ram/mopar service. They couldn’t find any issues. Replaced the eTorque alternator. Still having the same issue.

For this exact issue and multiple complaints in the better business bureau for this issue.

I was stopped at a red light and the auto start/stop shut off my engine normally. When the light changed to green, I took my foot off the brake and the engine would not re-start. The transmission shifted to Neutral and the electric parking brake engaged. I had to shift the transmission to Park, and press the start button to re-start the engine.

As I looked into the rear view mirror I watched in horror the tonneau cover take flight and slam into the roadway behind me. Thankful, the cars noted to my right were not directly behind me, as it would have certainly caused a serious accident. I did circle back to locate the remains of the tonneau cover and still have it in my possession for evaluation. I contacted the dealer inquiring if there had been any recalls or safety issues or concerns regarding the tonneau cover that came with the 2022 custom build RAM truck. In that email I also who I should be in contact with to discuss the replacement of the cover and repairs to my truck for the failure of the cover. In my email to the dealership, I attached photos of the cover, damage and the odometer for documentation.To date yet to hear back from the dealer by phone or email I emailed the general sales manager at the dealership on Janurary 8th.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

Jun 13, 2024 2022 Rebel GT FIRST INCIDENT: while making a right hand turn from a stop light, the truck lost acceleration, rolled for a few feet and locked up into ebrake engagement and: >low voltage warning>red battery symbol>clicking lights>complete shut off!! Gave me the follwing messages in the display "key not in vehicle, place in park to start, low volatge." When i finally got it restarted it didnt give me full acceleration power. it limped down the road until i could safely pull off the road. Continued to show low voltage. I limped it home and conitued to have low volatge issues. i took it to the dealer next day and they was unable to recreate or resolve the issue. They reset the battery but It happened again... Well today while at 75MPH on the freeway, attempting to pass a semi my 2022 Rebel GT 24k miles lost acceleration and shut off, same as the times before. >low voltage warning>red battery symbol>clicking lights>complete shut off!! I was ready for the whole truck to lock up right there on the freeway becuase it usually engages the ebrake! After a few seconds it re started itself!! while at 75mph!!! then the transmission slips like its going to lock up-im assuming because of the e-brake engagement it usually does and the fact that i was going 75mph?!! It then engaged to "normal operation" with a 13.1 voltage, so I sped back up and I got my as* to the dealership that was fortunately only 2 miles down the road trying not to panic. My service lady came out and hooked it up for codes, what did she find?.... "nothing but B233C00 which is a random code" she said. Which means (as we all should be l familiar with by now) that they cannot do anything without data. I noticed that there has been an investigation opened and I wanted to add to the complaints

I was ready for the whole truck to lock up right there on the freeway becuase it usually engages the ebrake! After a few seconds it re started itself!! while at 75mph!!! then the transmission slips like its going to lock up-im assuming because of the e-brake engagement it usually does and the fact that i was going 75mph?!! It then engaged to "normal operation" with a 13.1 voltage, so I sped back up and I got my as* to the dealership that was fortunately only 2 miles down the road trying not to panic. My service lady came out and hooked it up for codes, what did she find?.... "nothing but B233C00 which is a random code" she said. Which means (as we all should be l familiar with by now) that they cannot do anything without data. I noticed that there has been an investigation opened and I wanted to add to the complaints
