Dealers will inspect and install missing caps free of charge.
- Gear selector bushing failure. Recall 19V446000 involves 99,665 vehicles including the 2004 Cayenne. The bushing that attaches the gear selector lever to the gearbox may degrade and detach. Dealers will replace the shifter cable bushing free of charge, and owners should use the parking brake until repaired.
- Fuel pump flange cracking. Recall 17V576000 impacts 50,145 vehicles including 2004 Cayenne models. The fuel pump flange may crack, causing fuel leaks. Fuel leakage near an ignition source increases fire risk. Dealers will replace fuel filter flanges with new versions that have protective film at no cost to owners.
- Other recall details. The recalls do not include "Do Not Drive" or "Park Outside" advisories. Owner notifications were sent by Porsche and remedies are provided through authorized dealers.
Owners dealing with repeated repairs related to safety defects or unresolved recall issues may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consulting legal resources for assistance with persistent defects or recall compliance is advisable.
