- Fuel rail leak. Recall 21V394000 covers 2,416 vehicles with a defect in the sealing washer seating of the pilot bore holes, causing potential high-pressure fuel rail leaks. Fuel leaks near ignition sources increase fire risk. Dealers will inspect and replace defective parts free of charge. Owner notifications were sent by July 2021.
- Brake light malfunction. Recall 18V756000 involves 717 vehicles with Whelen accessory brake lights that may illuminate without the brake pedal being pressed, violating FMVSS 108. Incorrect brake light activation may confuse drivers and heighten crash risk. Pierce will notify owners and Whelen will replace lights as needed at no cost. The recall began March 4, 2019.
- Structure bracket detachment. Recall 18V463000 applies to 17 vehicles fitted with 75ft aerial devices and limited retraction brackets that may detach and fall. Falling brackets risk striking people below. Dealers will install additional mounting hardware free of charge. The recall started August 22, 2018.
- Hale pump interlock failure. Recall 17V455000 covers 65 vehicles equipped with Hale Pump Interlock Module Kits that may fail in extreme cold, preventing water pump operation. This failure increases injury risk during fire emergencies. Dealers will replace the interlock modules at no cost. The recall began March 24, 2017.

Risk: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2004-2018 Arrow XT, Dash, Enforcer, Impel, Quantum and Velocity aerial vehicles. The aerial device may unexpectedly rotate to the right when the ladder is being extended.
Risk: If the aerial device moves in an unexpected direction, the ladder may contact an object, such as a building or an electrical wire, increasing the risk of injury.

Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Pierce Arrow XT, Dash, Enforcer, Impel, Quantum, Saber, Velocity, and Commercial vehicles equipped with Whelen accessory brake lights. Depending on the specific wiring of the vehicle, these brake lights may illuminate when the brake pedal has not been pressed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Risk: If the brake lights incorrectly illuminate, it can confuse other drivers, possibly increasing the risk of a crash.

The bracket on the aerial device may detach from the aerial and fall to the ground.
Risk: If the bracket falls, it could strike a person below.

The Hale interlock pressure switch can fail after prolonged exposure to extreme cold temperatures, preventing the fire truck water pump from operating.
Risk: If the fire truck cannot pump water during a fire emergency, there would be an increased risk of injury.
