Recalls
  • Bumper hose tray latch. NHTSA recall 10V300000 affects 25 vehicles due to drop-down fire hose trays under the front bumper that may open accidentally while driving. The hose could drop onto the roadway causing distraction or injury. Owners receive a new hose box with an improved latch free of charge.
  • Rear disc brake caliper. Recall 10V317000 covers 45 vehicles with Meritor Wabco EX225 rear disc brakes. The caliper may interfere with automatic tire chain brackets, reducing braking performance unexpectedly. Dealers install new brackets to restore full caliper actuation at no cost to owners.
  • Steering gear bracket fracture. Recall 10V423000 involves 2,652 vehicles where the steering gear bracket may break, detaching the steering gear. Loss of steering control could cause a crash. Owners are advised to inspect prior to each trip. Repair involves installing a new mounting bracket free of charge.
  • Front lower ball joint boots. Recall 15V615000 affects 910 vehicles with torn protective boots on front lower ball joints. Contamination may cause premature failure and possible wheel separation. Dealers inspect and replace worn ball joints at no cost.
  • Front upper ball joint boots. Also part of recall 15V615000 covering the same 910 vehicles, upper ball joint boots may tear with the same risks and remedies as the lower joints. Free inspection and replacement apply.
  • Aerial device software. Recall 19V022000 includes 994 vehicles where aerial ladders may unexpectedly rotate right during extension. This could lead to contact with objects or electrical wires, increasing injury risk. Dealers reprogram the control module free of charge.

Owners dealing with repeated repairs, safety defects, or unresolved recall issues may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consulting a legal professional familiar with automotive consumer protection can help clarify options.
