Recalls- Front bumper hose tray latch. Recall 10V300000 affects 25 vehicles. The latch on the drop-down fire hose tray under the front bumper may open while driving, causing the hose to drop onto the road. This poses a risk of injury, property damage, and distraction leading to crashes. The fix involves installing a new hose box with an improved latch free of charge.
- Rear disc brake caliper clearance. Recall 10V317000 involves 45 vehicles. The Meritor Wabco EX225 rear disc brake caliper may interfere with automatic tire chain brackets, restricting brake movement and reducing braking performance. Dealers will install new tire chain brackets to provide clearance at no cost.
- Steering gear bracket fracture. Recall 10V423000 covers 2652 vehicles. The steering gear bracket may fracture and detach, causing loss of steering control and increasing crash risk. Owners are instructed to inspect the bracket before each trip. The repair replaces the mounting bracket free of charge.
- Electronic accelerator pedal arm. Recall 11V255000 applies to 5022 vehicles. Excessive force can bend the accelerator pedal arm, causing it to contact the floor and stick in full throttle position. This defect risks loss of vehicle control. Dealers will replace the pedal arm with a redesigned version at no charge.
- Cab tilt cylinder mounts. Recall 13V525000 impacts 3115 vehicles. The mounts for cab tilt cylinders may fatigue and fail, making the cab fall until the safety catch engages. People near a falling cab risk injury. Dealers will add warning signs advising operators to stay clear during cab tilting free of charge.
- Aerial device software. Recall 19V022000 affects 994 vehicles. The aerial device may unexpectedly rotate right during ladder extension, risking collision with structures or wires. Dealers will reprogram the aerial control module free of charge to correct this software defect.
- Rear steer axle shaft heat treatment. Recall 17V348000 involves 225 vehicles. The rear steer axle shafts were not properly heat treated and may break, potentially disabling the vehicle and risking crashes. Dealers will replace the defective axle shafts free of charge.
- Aerial limited retraction bracket. Recall 18V463000 covers 17 vehicles. The 75ft aerial device bracket with limited retraction may detach and fall. Falling brackets pose hazard to people below. Dealers will install additional mounting hardware free of charge.
Owners facing repeated repairs related to these recalls or ongoing safety defects may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Legal assistance can help clarify eligibility and options for resolution.
