Recalls
  • Manual transmission. (Recall 15V639000) Twenty-seven trucks with Eaton Fuller FR 10-speed manual transmissions may lock due to reverse gear staying engaged, causing unexpected reverse movement and crash risk. Dealers inspect and repair transmissions free of charge.
  • Alternator charge cables. (Recalls 15V456000 and 15V270000) Alternator cables can chafe against metal freon lines, causing electrical shorts and fire risk in hundreds to over a thousand trucks. Dealers reroute cables and add insulators free of charge.
  • Engine control module stalling. (Recall 15V597000) Defective ECU modules cause engine stalls without warning in 354 trucks, increasing crash risk. Dealers replace modules free of charge.
  • Methane detection system wiring. (Recall 21V00N000) Electrical issues may disable the methane detection warning alarm, increasing injury or fire risk. Dealers re-wire alarms at no cost.
  • Spotlight circuit fuse. (Recall 17V471000) Spotlights equipped with polyfuse switches risk short circuits and fires. Over 5,700 trucks have the fuse replaced with standard fuses free of charge.
  • Electronic stability control software. (Recall 20V199000) ABS warning lights may not illuminate after power loss in over 460,000 trucks, increasing crash risk; dealers update software at no charge.
  • Side marker lamps. (Recall 18V816000) Missing reflex reflectors on certain marker lamps reduce visibility and increase crash risk. Dealers install reflective tape free of charge on affected units.
  • Battery jumper terminal cables. (Recall 20V130000) Excessively long positive jumper cables can chafe against suspension springs, causing electrical shorts and fire risks in over 35,000 trucks. Dealers inspect and replace cables as needed free of charge.
  • Tire and rim certification labels. (Recall 15V132000) Incorrect tire pressure listed on labels in over 213,000 trucks increases tire failure and crash risk. Owners receive corrected labels by mail free of charge.
  • Steering tie rod assembly torque. (Recall 17V593000) Castellated nuts on some Spicer D or E series steer axles may be under-torqued, allowing tie rods to loosen and risk complete loss of steering in 17,737 trucks. Dealers inspect, tighten, or replace components at no cost.

Owners dealing with repeated repairs related to these defects or unresolved recall repairs may have rights under state lemon laws. Consulting a qualified attorney is recommended for persistent safety or reliability issues.
