TRAILER HITCHES

Orange EV is recalling certain 2024 HUSK-e, 2023-2025 e-TRIEVER, and 2017-2024 T-Series trucks. The pintle hook partially blocks the center of the backup lights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: Obstructed backup lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to pedestrians or other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

968 vehicles affected

25V360000

STEERING:CRITICAL FASTENERS

Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2025 HUSK-e, e-TRIEVER, and 2022-2024 T-Series trucks. The bolts securing the upper steering shaft clamp may have been improperly tightened.

Risk: The loose bolts can cause steering system components to separate, resulting in loss of steering control and increasing the risk of a crash.

2023 ORANGE EV E-TRIEVER

148 vehicles affected

24V964000

STRUCTURE:FRAME AND MEMBERS

Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2024 HUSK-e, 2023-2024 e-TRIEVERs, and 2018-2023 T-Series trucks built with frame extenders. The frame extenders obstruct the rear turn signals, reverse, brake, and taillights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: Obstructed rear lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to pedestrians or other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

2023 ORANGE EV E-TRIEVER

EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL

Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series and 2023-2024 e-TRIEVER terminal trucks. The Emergency Response Guide (ERG), operator, maintenance, and service manuals incorrectly state that the emergency stop button in the vehicle cab will shut off and lock out the high voltage system.

Risk: Incorrect lockout instructions can mislead the operator into thinking the high voltage system is shut down, increasing the risk of injury by electrical shock.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2024 HUSK-e, 2023-2025 e-TRIEVER, and 2017-2024 T-Series trucks. The front side marker lights may be missing, and the passenger front side reflectors may be in the incorrect location. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: Missing or incorrectly positioned lights and reflectors can reduce the trailers visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

2023 ORANGE EV E-TRIEVER

24V963000

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:BACK UP LIGHTS

Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2024 e-TRIEVER and 2018-2023 T-Series trucks built with beavertail frames. The end of the beavertail frame may obstruct the center of the reverse lights. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Risk: Obstructed reverse lights can reduce the vehicle's visibility to pedestrians or other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.

2022 ORANGE EV E-TRIEVER

106 vehicles affected

22V790000

PARKING BRAKE:CRITICAL FASTENERS

Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2022 e-Triever vehicles. The fastener for the parking brake slack adjustor may not have been properly tightened.

Risk: A loose fastener may prevent the parking brake from properly engaging, allowing the vehicle to rollaway and increasing the risk of a crash.
