A digital display firmware error may cause the instrument panel indicator lights to remain solidly illuminated even when the turn signal are off. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Risk: A faulty indictor light, that cannot provide the driver with information about the status of the turn signals, increases the risk of a crash.
