Recalls- Exterior lighting non-compliance. Recall 22V902000 affects 519 vehicles due to non-standard color auxiliary lights that impair standard lighting effectiveness. This increases crash risk by distracting other drivers. Dealers will remove or replace these lights with white ones free of charge.
- Brake light height issue. Recall 21V151000 covers 123 vehicles and involves brake lights and tail lights placed too high, exceeding FMVSS 108 standards. This reduces visibility and raises crash risk. Nova will instruct owners to interchange brake/tail lights with turn signals at no charge.
- Tail light height issue. Also part of recall 21V151000 affecting the same 123 vehicles, tail lights exceed height limits, decreasing visibility. The fix involves repositioning lights to meet standards for safer operation.
- Seat belt anchorage defect. Recall 16V191000 involves 430 buses where J-Brackets on seats may have missing welds causing seat belt anchorage assemblies to separate. This compromises driver restraint during crashes. Dealers will inspect and repair missing welds free of charge.
Owners with repeated repairs or unresolved recall issues related to safety defects may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consider consulting a legal expert if problems persist despite recall repairs.
