Recalls- Transmission shift lever. NHTSA recall 13V094000 affects 2,180 vehicles manufactured from January 22, 2013, through February 20, 2013. The brake shift interlock may malfunction due to chemicals in the shift lever assembly, allowing the transmission to be shifted out of Park without depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle could roll away, causing injury or a crash. Nissan will notify owners and repair free of charge.
- Brake master cylinder. Recall 13V451000 covers 3,247 vehicles built between February 22, 2013, and May 3, 2013. The brake master cylinder may intermittently reduce pressure to the front brakes, resulting in less braking power and increased stopping distance. Nissan will replace the master cylinder at no cost to owners.
- Driver air bag inflator. Recall 20V188000 affects 216,678 vehicles from various model years including 2013 TITANs. A manufacturing defect may cause the inflator to rupture during deployment, potentially sending metal fragments into the vehicle interior. This poses a serious injury or death risk. Nissan will replace the front driver air bag inflators free of charge.
Owners dealing with repeated repairs or unresolved safety recalls may have rights under their state lemon law. Consulting with a qualified attorney may help clarify available legal options.
