(Nissan) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Rogue, 2019-2020 Altima, 2019-2022 Infiniti QX50, and 2022 Infiniti QX55 vehicles equipped with 3-cylinder 1.5L or 4-cylinder 2.0L variable compression turbo (VC-Turbo) engines. The engine bearings may have manufacturing defects that can lead to engine failure.

Risk: Engine failure increases the risk of a crash. A bearing failure may cause a breach in the engine block, allowing hot oil to be discharged, increasing the risk of an engine fire.

SEAT BELTS:PRETENSIONER

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2023 Rogue vehicles. The driver and front passenger seat belt pretensioners may have been incorrectly manufactured, which can cause the seat belts to not properly restrain occupants. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection," 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies," and 210 "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Risk: Improperly restrained occupants have an increased risk of injury during a crash.

AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2024 Titan, Frontier, Infiniti QX60, Pathfinder, 2023-2024 Sentra, Versa, Kicks, Infiniti QX50, and 2023 Rogue vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the driver's air bag inflator may absorb moisture, and cause the air bag to deploy improperly.

Risk: An air bag that deploys improperly may not protect the driver as intended during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

SEATS:CRITICAL FASTENERS

Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2023 Rogue, Pathfinder, and Infiniti QX60 vehicles. The driver's powered seat may not be fully secured to the seat frame, causing the seat frame welds to detach from the rear inboard seat bracket.

Risk: An unsecured seat with broken welds may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

The contact spoke with the general manager at the local dealer and was informed about a buyback options. The manufacturer was called, but the automated system provided the recall details and advised that the recall parts were on backorder until December. The vehicle was not repaired. All of the dashboard light turned on while deiving amd the engine started overheating, we had to stop the car for it too cool and then it cannot run faster than 30 miles because it will over heat and shakes we could of had a bad accident , we have tried to resolve this with tge dealership and they have failed multiple times to adress this saying its nothing wrong with the car when cleary there is!

The contact stated that the Lane Keep Assist was engaging and disengaging erroneously. The contact stated while at a complete stop at a red traffic light, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle failed to restart and was pushed to the side of the road with assistance. The vehicle was later able to restart and was driven to the residence; however, the failure persisted while driving. The contact stated that upon arriving to the residence, the check engine warning light was illuminated, and the contact received a notification for emission control problem through the vehicle mobile app. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the engine was replaced. Additionally, the contact stated that the heater was making an abnormally loud squeaking sound and there was fumes coming through the vents. The contact installed a Carbon Monoxide detector in the vehicle, and the detector indicated that the Carbon Monoxide and Dioxide levels in the vehicle were high. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the heater blower was replaced, and the contact was informed that the exhaust manifold was sealed; however, the failure persisted. Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle stalled while driving on another occasion. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was being diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. Driving 75 down the highway and my car all of a sudden went into limp mode causing my car to slow down dramatically lights flashing and beeping saying engine malfunction see manual power reduce service now. Could not accelerate luckily we got to slowly roll off the highway, but it could’ve been super dangerous because cars were going so fast. Had to get it towed and then went to a Nissan dealership Fort Collins, Colorado. They said it was the oil sensor malfunction and replaced that part and it ran ok after. Fast foward a month later driving down interstate on Labor Day weekend and the car did the same thing again had to get it towed again to A Nissan dealership in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Same codes popped up for. P0012 camshaft timing and P0196 engine oil temp sensor. The dealership informed me that first they changed the oil sensor and then if it comes back, they would change the water control valve continuing from the bulletin. They said this should fix it. However, now I’m nervous to drive on the highways thinking I’m gonna get stranded again. This is a concern of mine could’ve been in a car accident with so many cars zooming by and going to live mode.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at 50 MPH, she heard a chime and then the vehicle's forward collision brake system independently engaged. The contact stated that his oldest son did not see anything in front of the vehicle. The contact stated that his wife said the vehicle pulled sharply to the right and drove down an embankment and onto a property. The contact stated that the vehicle crashed head-on into a stack of railroad ties. All of the air bags had deployed. The contact stated that both his wife and oldest son were shaken but had minor injuries, mostly bruises on their shoulders and waists from the seat belts and abrasions on their hands and foreheads from the air bags. The contact said that there was a hole in the windshield on the driver's side that had sent glass fragments into his wife's scalp and feet, but no major lacerations. The contact stated that his youngest son, who was seated behind the older brother, had not suffered any severe injuries. The contact stated that his wife was transported to the emergency room and that both sons were treated on site but not transported. The state police arrived and filed a report, but the contact did not have the report number. The vehicle's front end was crushed to the wheel wells. The contact stated that the driver's side front and rear axles were fractured, and both tires had blown out. The vehicle was towed to an impound lot. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The contact stated that prior to the accident, the vehicle's motor had been replaced in June of 2025. The failure mileage was approximately 65,500.

The contact stated that the first failure reoccurred four days after the repair. The dealer was made aware of the failure, and the contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced when the parts became available. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 155,000.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

The front, movable section of my panoramic sunroof unexpectedly exploded/shattered while driving. There were no other vehicles in front of me and it was a clear sunny day with nothing overhead. The sunroof and cover were closed. If the cover had been opened, glass shards would've hit the occupants inside the cabin. The sound was an extremely loud bang similar to a shotgun. The sound caused me to brake and slightly swerve. Fortunately, there were no other vehicles nearby and I was able to pullover safely. There was a large chunk of glass missing and quite a bit of small shards on top of the cover. Glass shards continued to fall off while driving home.

ENGINE

I received a message on the Nissan app informing me that there is an active recall affecting the engine of my 2023 Nissan Rogue. I called the service department at Butler Nissan, and they advised me that they cannot do anything at this time and that there is no fix available. I then contacted Butler Nissan headquarters to ask what would happen if my vehicle malfunctioned. Would they provide a loaner car or allow me to get another vehicle that isn’t affected by a recall? My 2023 Nissan Rogue is my only means of transportation, and I am concerned about my family's safety in case the engine fails unexpectedly. The female operator told me they don’t handle hypothetical situations and that I would need to call back if something happens to the vehicle. I find this response completely unacceptable. What if a serious problem occurs, and I'm unable to call back? She didn’t take my concerns seriously, and it feels like Nissan isn't taking this issue seriously either. We could be in a life-threatening situation with a vehicle that hasn't been thoroughly tested! I need a solution, not uncertainty.

Woman sweepingnuo the glass was nearly hit by the glass as the liftgate opened automatically and she could have been hurt very badly. Of there was someone in the backseat it would have been a very serious injury. The back window id defective and there have been numerous reports of the 2023 Nissan Rogues back windows exploding for no apparent reason. Very dangerous situation. I had mine replaced with no help from Nissan as my car was bought brand new and is still under warranty. Im out $1400.00 for the repair as well. This is unacceptable in so many ways. Im so afraid to drive it again as this could happen again. Someone can be severely hurt or killed. This needs to be recalled now. Before someone dies!!

I asked do they know when more or less it will arrive? They tell me no idea. I am leasing a 2023 Nissan Rogue (VIN: [XXX] ) and have received an Important Safety Recall Notice (NHTSA Recall 25V-xxx) regarding a potential engine defect. Unfortunately, my vehicle is already experiencing the exact conditions described in the recall. On multiple occasions (most recently [XXX]), I received warning messages including “Engine Malfunction – Power Reduced” and **“Battery – Service Now.” These incidents occurred while driving with my children in the vehicle on highways, creating an unsafe situation and risk of crash. I took my Rogue to Hertrich Nissan twice for inspection. Each time, I was told no issues were found, despite the warnings reappearing. Prior to this, I also had the MIL status recall performed and was told everything was fine. Clearly, the defect persists, and the vehicle remains unsafe to drive. This is an urgent safety concern. I drive my children daily and cannot risk sudden power loss or engine failure on the road. Nissan has acknowledged this defect in the recall notice but has stated parts may not be available until late 2025. That is unacceptable when the vehicle is already showing failures. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this issue further. Nissan issued the recall on my vehicle. I took it into the dealership to be inspected. Was informed my car was one that needed to be fixed because of metal fragments on the dipstick in the oil. Was told Nissan had no remedy for the situation yet and had no idea when it would be available to be fixed. The car would not drive over 10 miles per hour. The dealer claimed it was our error; stating we had hit a curb so not under warranty. We had not. We were charged approx $200 to fix. Made appointment with Nissan was advised the water pump malfunctioned. I bought my daughter a new 2023 Rogue SL in June-2023 at our local Nissan dealership in Concord, CA. On [XXX] the car's engine completely cut-out on [XXX] on a trip to L.A. Fortunately, my daughter was able to coast to the far lane and call AAA for a tow to the Valencia dealership. There the service rep told her that two other Rouges had also been towed off the Grapevine that day. They kept the car for a couple days and replaced the engine oil temp sensor which got her back home. On [XXX] the engine again completely cut-out while my daughter was crossing [XXX] on her way to work. More fortunate than the [XXX] incident, my daughter was able to coast off the bridge via an offramp in [XXX]. Once again AAA came to the rescue towing the car to the Concord dealership where it now sits for evaluation. More than an incident, I’m concerned it might turn into one. For the past few days, I’ve noticed something unusual (nothing serious for now) with the engine/transmission. When I shift to Drive, the engine seems to jerk a bit or takes a moment to engage the gear. There’s a slight delay, but it doesn’t feel normal. I’m worried because a friend who owns a Rogue had a similar issue, his car wouldn’t start, he took it to the shop, and they told him the engine needed to be replaced. • Component: Oil Gasket Pan (can be inspected upon request) • On 10 June 2025, I took my vehicle to Firestone for routine maintenance. Upon an attempt to reinsert the oil plug, the technician could not do so; therefore, the oil gasket pan had to be replaced. The oil plug was not damaged. However, the grooves within the gasket pan itself was warped and the technician could not reinsert the plug in order for the oil to remain within the engine. Unfortunately, I had to pay $600+ just to replace the gasket oil pan for a defective part on Nissan’s end. The item is horribly made from plastic material; that is not ideal, considering that oil becomes hot during use. The main concern here would be can the vehicle withhold engine oil between oil changes and it would not leak? Huge safety concern here, in addition to the recent recall on the engine bearings. • I’ve also seen complaints regarding this from other Nissan Rogue owners for various years (dating from 2021-2024).

Upon the light turning green and accelerating to 10-15mph, the parking brake spontaneously engaged locking up the rear wheels bringing the car to a immediate, unexpected and jarring stop in moving traffic. The vehicle was a rental and was not inspected afterwards. No warning lights appeared on the dash warning of the parking brake engagement nor did any appear after the parking brake was fully engaged.

While stopped at a stop light, I turned off adaptive cruise control. On the morning of 6/18/2025 approximately at 545 am central time my 2023 Nissan Rogue SV lost complete power on Interstate 59 South in Alabama near Gadsden just past the one lane construction zone. No warning lights or check engine lights just had sudden engine noise and seen my rpm’s were holding at 3000 and not accelerating anymore. The noise stopped when the car went into limp mode. I was able to pull over onto shoulder and turned off vehicle. There were no visible leaks or signs of overheating. So called a tow truck to take me to nearest Nissan dealership. After several attempts of trying to crank my engine technicians discover a blown head gasket. Also note since owning vehicle there has been issues with engine misfiring and a spark plug blowing on cylinder 3 around 20k miles.

My vehicles rear went counter clockwise nearly tipping over before being hit again passenger side front Damages extensive. Zero airbags deployed Car not drivable. I was sold a 2023 Nissan Rogue last July From *** Nissan of Topsham ME. that had a faulty main seal/head gasket which allowed exhaust,coolant and freon vapors to be blown into the car effectively creating a gas chamber. 31 days after my purchase at service appointment to fix defroster I was told "all the coolant leaked out of the resevoir and we don't know where it went, you should keep an eye on it". I was never told further diagnostics were needed at that time however once I realized what was going on and decided to file a complaint with the Maine attorney general's office, I looked over paperwork from visit that day and mechanics notes stated "coolant may be leaking into engine further diagnostics are needed". Let me explain that I am a courier and drive my car all day every day staring and stopping it as I make deliveries. I drove the car around poisoning myself with fumes for 7 months. I began to feel ill in November when I started using the heater more. I was completely exhausted (literally) and didn't know why. To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to report a critical and life-threatening safety incident involving my Nissan Rogue. While driving at a sustained speed of 65 mph on a highway, the steering wheel suddenly locked aligned on right side without warning. This mechanical failure rendered me completely unable to steer, putting my life and the lives of others (including my friend’s little daughter) on the busiest highway in immediate danger. Somehow I was able to hit the hard brake and get on the right curb after two lane without any control on the wheel to slow down my car. This is an abnormal and catastrophic malfunction. The sudden loss of steering control at high speed could have easily resulted in a fatal accident. Fortunately, I was able to avoid a crash, but the incident left me heavily shaken and raises serious concerns about the safety integrity of this vehicle. I also got hurt in my right hand although no airbag was deployed. This incident appears to be the result of a manufacturer defect or electronic failure, not driver error or wear and tear. TIRES:SIDEWALL

The tire right side behind the passenger sit just blow off when I was driving in the exit 232, I 15 with direction to South, Antelope DR. When that happened without any sign that the tire showed any issue at all, I was afraid that could happen when I drive in a highway by 75 miles by hour. For that reason, I replace the four tires.

Oil Pan/Oil Pan Gasket damaged. Plastic oil pan with a metal bolt is due to fail anytime when replacing oil/doing an oil change. Nissan has, for about 99%, done all of my oil changes. Was told at Nissan the part was stripped, and could he a potential hazard of bolt shooting out of Pan due to pressure/heat expansion and lead to engine failure or be hazardous if vehicle was being driven. Was not even aware of this stripped bolt/broken pan until I went for a routine oil change with Nissan. This is my family vehicle and I drive my kid everywhere in this vehicle. This is a major safety concern and flaw and should be reason to reconsider and be gone with the plastic pans and have metal ones be manufactured/produced. Had to pay put of pocket for it to be replaced. Should have been covered by Nissan or be recalled immediately. This could put my family at risk if it fails and we are out driving. We do constant road trips and long distance destinations. This is concerning.

I bought the car November, 2023. Today I have 5300 miles. Two months after purchase the car while I was driving, it shifted from "D" drive to "1". I went slowly from no speed to around 30 MPH when I heard a roaring noise and saw that the car down shifted. I stopped immediately (no cars behind me). Went to dealership which had no idea of what happened. No one else reported anything like my experience at the dealership Service Department. Happened twice over a couple of months which I did not go back to dealership. I believe it was on April 26, 2025, it happened twice the same day. I slowly went from being stopped and within 100 feet it went to "1". Back to dealership so they made a record. May 17, 2025, I was stopped on a slight incline. I was in "R", With foot on brake I switched to "D". Without moving it went into "1". I happened to be looking at dash. This new. Today dealership could find nothing. In April, 2025, I checked on the computer. Several articles regarding my problem. Nissan is aware of this problem. Someone described my problem exactly and gave a price range to repair and even named the part. Do people have to die before Nissan does a recall?

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

I received a Forward Collision Warning at approx. 35,700 miles. The distance sensor failed and the vehicle would not stop from hitting the car in front of me. I was able to swerve to avoid collision. Took to dealer at approx. 38,000 miles and they determined an internal failure in the distance sensor. Distance sensor and bracket was replaced. Labor and parts were $1,122

ENGINE

Having issues getting my oil changed....problems with drain plug and oil pan.....still having issues recently, no Nissan or Walmart mechanics won't touch my car. They all would tell me to take it back to dealership

VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, the sunroof exploded without impact. There was an abnormal popping sound detected before the failure. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was determined that the sunroof needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. ENGINE

The issue began [xxx]. I drove to Napa, stayed for about 20 minutes. When I started the vehicle again and started driving on the highway it was revving but not going above about 10 mph. Had to pull off the road. I waited a few minutes turned it off and back on and it drove normally and I got back home. It's been doing the same thing intermittently since then but more often and throughout the day or drive. When I come to a stop at a stop sign or light and start driving again it will get stuck in 1st gear and not switch out until I turn the vehicle off and on again. This has happened in traffic several times. The dealership has not been able to diagnose it or fix it since they have not been able to reproduce it. They have kept it overnight three times I believe and once had a tech take it home for this and other issues including issues with the proximity sensors that they also haven't been able to correct. 2023 Nissan Rogue constantly smells of gas fumes on the interior. I have had my vehicle in numerous times over the last few months because the fumes are making me lightheaded to the point that I need to pull over and I constantly have headaches. I have a complaint filed with Nissan and their "fix" is to compensate me for my inconvenience with no genuine concern over the fact that this is causing health issues. They released a new supposed fix which is a replacement of another hose. I'm concerned about my health but also the safety of myself and others while I'm driving due to feeling so lightheaded.

The sunroof exploded while on the expressway going 75mph. At first after hearing the loud explosion, I thought it was a blowout tire. Almost got hit by two cars as I was pulling over .I took the car to the Nissan dealership and I was told I would have to leave the car there while they contact Nissan and send them pictures.

WHEELS

My 2023 Nissan Rogue had recorded tread wear from 3 mm to 4 mm of tread left from my maintenance printouts I received from my dealer that started at around 16,000 miles (November 2024) despite having my vehicle serviced at a Nissan Service facility as per the recommended maintenance schedule from Nissan Motors. This was a potentially very dangerous situation with possible snow conditions that are associated with New England Winters. My tires were also rotated on a regular basis as well as per the recommended maintenance schedule for my 2023 Nissan Rogue. The tires that came with my car orignally were the Dunlop GrandTrek. I waited as long as I could to purchase a new set of tires because they were costly and I didn't have the money. My total bill came out to around $1,300 which included a recommended four wheel drive wheel alignment.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

The forward collision warning sensor went out while driving. Took it to Granite Nissan in Rapid City, SD. They replaced it after a year of waiting on the part. The day after it was repaired, it went out again. They said they have no idea on how to fix the problem. This issue is very dangerous when it is icy outside. When the sensor goes out the car is very unstable. You can only drive at 25 MPH and that's pushing it. It seems like the car is trying to apply the brakes to all four wheels at once. The cruise control goes out and it is hard to maintain your speed with the pedal.

I entered the 2023 Nissan Rogue around [XXX] on St. Simons Island GA, on [XXX] with my granddaughter. Upon shutting the doors, the rear hatchback window exploded into pieces and blew out. I had not left the parking place or cranked the car. The glass pieces were all over the road and on the inside of my car. The police were called and a report was filed. How was my safety put at risk? Besides being shocked and traumatized at what sounded like a gunshot, I am now concerned about driving this car again with a new rear window because I fear it could happen again at any time. I am also suffering from a form of PTSD with super loud noise. (I jumped off my yoga mat when someone dropped a metal cup that made a very loud noise during our practice.) I asked the dealership why it happened and I called the Nissan Customer Service Center and have yet to find out why this has happened. My own research has indicated that this problem has occurred in many 2023 Nissan Rogues. The car was inspected by the police and they saw no foul play. The dealership currently has the car and is currently waiting on a new rear hatch window and it will be replaced at no cost after I strongly urged that this car was under warranty and this appears to be a defect (although the dealership doesn't agree). No -- the problem has not been reproduced at the dealership since it does not involve a mechanical part. I contacted the Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division (CPD) to try to make a Lemon Law Report and the advisor I spoke to indicated that the problem had to occur more than once. Therefore I was unsuccessful in filing that report on April 2, 2025. Since the car had not been turned on, there were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms that the rear window was about to blow out. Very strong fuel smell comes from the engine compartment after driving. When I am in stop start driving it enters through the vent and the smell is strong in the cabin. Had it to the dealer two times. They attempted a fix which did not work the first time. I brought it in again today and they stated this is a known problem and that it is under engineering review and there is no fix for it currently.

The black screen lasts about a second and is becoming more common, maybe once a day. 3) the power steering goes out occasionally, which I am strong enough to deal with, but would be difficult for my children (who also drive the car) to deal with.

The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was determined that the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure became a recurring failure, and the vehicle had been taken back to the same dealer several times who could not determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Burger King doesn't always kick on and I have to turn the car off and turn it on before it'll kick on even when it's in the on position. Don't feel any air coming out until I turn the car off. Turn it back on then it starts working again. Also the radio doesn't want to turn off or turn on at times and so again I will turn the car off and on and it seems to reset and then I can work the radio. But I've done this on a few occasions where when I turn the car back on it still didn't work the radio.

Nissan promised buyback three times in mediation but hasn't acted." This is one letter out of two promising they will buy back our vehicle insinuating we refusing to provide any additional paperwork. Why would we? We have been giving them everything to get this buyback. Letter below promising still nothing Good morning, Please provide me with an updated payoff letter and payment history. I have gotten approval to waive the documents I typically need to proceed since you are refusing to provide the correct documentation. I have begun the calculations. Once you provide me the updated payoff and payment history(detailed with principle and interest separated), I will draft your repurchase agreement based off the BBB program summary. UNKNOWN OR OTHER

I believe there is an issue with the transmission. While driving, the vehicle is unable to accelerate. The engine revs high and the RPMs go really high. I have to pull over and turn off the car. When I restart, I am able to proceed, and the car acts normal. This has happened several times and has occurred in heavy traffic. This issue has happened many times over the past few months.

STEERING

My vehicles tie rods broke on my way home from work while I pulled slowly onto a snowy road from my work driveway. I felt my car slide and tap the side of a curb, or so I thought. When I couldn't drive the vehicle I had to have it towed. The Nissan dealership I took it to said the damage, $9000, was caused by bumping into the curb. My insurance company did not agree with their repair amount and my vehicle was again towed to a nearby alternate dealership. After one month and half, my vehicle was repaired and I picked it up, only to find that the vehicle is intermittently vibrating and shaking. I believe this is the prelude for the same issue I had before. The break in the tie rods made me lose control of my vehicle. I have since seen tie rod recalls from Nissan and multiple complaints about the same issue. I am afraid for my safety while driving this vehicle. I contacted Nissan Consumers Complaints and they wanted me to wait for their 90 day investigation in order for them to take responsibility for anything, while I remained in a rental I had to pay for. This puts not only myself at a safety risk, but anyone who is driving with me or near me. I told that to Consumers Complaints. I don't want to see anyone else get hurt because of this issue. My vehicle is currently available for inspection. I am leasing it at $500 a month and am afraid to drive it.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

Rear window shattered without previous damage or impact of any object. Vehicle was parked in the middle of a garage, temperature was 32F and driver was present during event. Heard loud noise followed by rear glass shattering and fragments flying all the way to back seat passengers. Nobody was hurt, but glass shards had to be removed from their hair/ clothing. Problem has not been reproduced in dealership, but multiple reports for same vehicle have been filed online. Vehicle has not been inspected by insurance, as they will not cover it. There were no warning signs, or evidence of malfunction. Glass was inspected that same day before driving, had no cracks or breaks. Rear wiper was off when this happened.

ENGINE

Component/System Malfunction: I own a 2023 Nissan Rogue and have experienced excessive engine vibrations since the beginning. Despite multiple service visits, the issue persisted, ultimately leading to a complete engine failure at 64,000 miles. Safety Concerns: The vibrations and power reduction warnings compromised safety. My car eventually broke down in Vail, CO, leaving me stranded in freezing weather for four hours while waiting for assistance. Dealer/Service Center Findings: At my first service visit, the dealership diagnosed a transmission mount issue and claimed to have fixed it, but the problem remained. The check engine light appeared twice, along with an “Engine Power Reduced” warning. The dealership found no immediate issues. At 64,000 miles, my car broke down, and the check engine light reappeared. The dealership initially couldn’t find the problem but later performed a compression test and quoted a $10,000 repair estimate. Manufacturer/Inspection History: I reported the issue multiple times before my warranty expired, but Nissan failed to take corrective action. Now, just 4,000 miles past the warranty, I am being asked to cover the full cost, despite having records proving I reported the issue earlier. Warning Signs Before Failure: •Heavy engine vibrations at startup and idle. •Two check engine light incidents. •“Engine Power Reduced” warning message. •Complete breakdown at 64,000 miles, leaving me stranded in cold weather for four hours. Conclusion: This defect was present from the start, yet Nissan failed to address it. I request an investigation, as this may be a widespread issue affecting other Nissan Rogue owners.

Even though this repeatedly occurs, the Nissan dealer claims it is normal behavior and will not take corrective action unless a DTC is found.

After an oil change at a Certified Nissan dealership, the left rear seat belt sensor was indicating on the dash board that someone was sitting in there and was strapped, so the light had a green check, but there was no one in that seat plus the seat belt was not even strapped. The next day, the front passenger seat belt also went awry. With no one in the seat, the seat belt sensor started beeping which means it believed someone was in that seat unstrapped, but again, no one was in it. I have only ownes the car for 4 months, the car is clean and there is no debris in the seat belt latch system. There is definitely something wrong with the seatbelt sensors.

The vehicle felt like it was out of fuel. The contact restarted the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to accelerate. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Action Number: PE23023 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING, ENGINE). The contact stated that the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the engine block was cracked and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. There was an abnormal odor coming from the vehicle. The dealer test-drove the vehicle but was unable to identify the odor. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000. The VIN was not available.

ENGINE

DUE TO NEW MANUFACTURING OF THE OIL PAN BEING PLASTIC. THE THREADS OF THE PLUGS ARE BREAKING THE PLASTIC PANS. CAUSING THE PLUG TO BE UNABLE TO BE PLACED BACK AND NEW OILPAN TO BE INSTALLED. OIL PANS ARE ON 3+ MONTH BACKORDER GIVING APPERANCE THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

The rear window of the vehicle exploded with no impact. After backing out of my driveway I was pulling forward down the street and my rear window exploded. There was a pop and crackle sound. There was no evidence on the vehicle that something struck the window nor was there anything seen in the cameras around my home. When I got out of the vehicle and shut my door the glass fell into the trunk of the car and a piece went into the door handle which shorted it out and it needed to be replaced after the glass was replaced.

The only thing I can do to stop this is turn off the engine. This has happened 4 times in the last month and not before. I have now been referred to Nissan consumer Affairs, Bureau of Automobile Repair, New Motor Vehicle Board and now your agency, I feel that this vehicle to drive because it could cause damage to me, my car and the the public. The last time this occurred I was stopped coming out of shopping center waiting for the traffic to clear when the car started accelerating which would have pushed me into the oncoming traffic. Hopefully, you'll be able to help me as now of the above mentioned agencies have been able to help. The only date I can give you for certain was 12/23/2024

ENGINE

On December 31st, 2024, we came out from the grocery store to our 2023 Rogue which we had been running errands in all day and the car wouldn’t start. We then tried to give it a jump, replaced the battery, and checked fuses. None of these helped so we had it towed to Firestone. The tech there stated he found coolant in the spark plug wells and told us we needed to have it sent to the local Nissan dealer we bought it brand new from. After the Nissan techs inspected the car, we were told it needs a whole new engine. The car has had proper maintenance and oil changes its entire life and only has 61,000 miles and now it needs a new engine due to premature engine failure.

ENGINE

While driving down the highway going approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle lost power in the middle of the highway and shut off completely, with a sudden warning that said “Engine Malfunction.” The vehicle stopped in the middle of the highway and smoke began filling the cabin, leaving me to believe there was a fire under the hood. I evacuated the kids out of my car and pushed it off to the side of the road, then called the fire department. When the vehicle was towed to a Nissan dealership they discovered that there were many large metal chunks in the oil pan and the engine needed to be completely replaced. The vehicle only has 50,000 miles on it and is technically covered under powertrain, however Nissan is trying to get out of covering the replacement of the engine. There have been many documented cases of this exact thing happening to this make model and year Rogue. Nissan needs to take responsibility before someone dies. This incident was incredibly dangerous and could have ended catastrophically had I not pushed the car off the roadway.

Replaced 10/14 *Cracked 1/25 Replacement... TBD I have never replaced a windshield on my previous Nissan Rogues (2014 or 2018 models) before. What is happening with the quality control of materials or the windshield design? included some of the text messages and images of previous damages.
