2012 NISSAN ARMADA Complaints and Recall Information

The 2012 NISSAN ARMADA has 4 complaints and 1 recall filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report subframe fractures causing vehicle instability after driving over bumps. There are also reports of oxygen sensor failures in multiple vehicles.

Common Issues

  • Subframe fracture. The rear subframe fractures and sits on top of the fuel tank after hitting bumps, causing the vehicle to fishtail and swerve at speeds over 35 MPH. The vehicle becomes undrivable and requires costly repairs.
  • Oxygen sensor failure. Multiple owners report the O2 sensors failing on both 2012 and 2013 models, creating financial burdens for repairs on already expensive vehicles.

There is one recall affecting the 2012 Nissan Armada related to vehicle labeling. The recall addresses safety concerns regarding certain equipment information missing from certification labels.

Recalls

  • Certification label defect. (NHTSA Recall 12V143000) Affects 26,626 vehicles manufactured from August 12, 2011, through March 13, 2012. The certification label lacks rim size information, which may lead to incorrect tire and wheel combinations, increasing the risk of crashes. Nissan provides new labels for owners to install or offers free installation at dealers. The recall began May 28, 2012.

Owners with repeated subframe failures or unresolved recall issues may have rights under state lemon laws and should consider consulting with a legal professional specializing in consumer protection.

I have a 2012 Nissan armada and a 2013 Nissan armada and both cars o2 sensors have went out on each of them. This must be a common problem and the financial strain shouldn’t be left for the customers buying an already expensive vehicles. Very odd that both my armadas are having the same issues with that particular sensor
