- Transmission shift cable (15V713000). 93 vehicles can be shifted out of park without applying brakes because of incorrect shift cable bracket and adjustment. Dealers replace the shift control bracket and adjust the cable.
- Water heater overheating (15V747000). 90 vehicles with Atwood on-demand water heaters may release steam causing scald injuries due to improperly set water and gas valves. A remedy kit is installed to eliminate the hazard.
- Parking brake (15V642000). 86 vehicles have a parking brake actuator out of calibration which may allow the vehicle to roll or cause wheel end fires. Dealers replace the parking brake foot pedal assembly.
- Electrical wiring (17V830000). 2,915 vehicles may have loose power connections at the Automatic Transfer Switch causing heat buildup and fire risk. Inspections and tightening of the connection are performed.
- Wheelchair lift bolts (16V744000). 114 vehicles have incorrect bolts on wheelchair lifts that may break causing unintended movement. The bolts are replaced to meet safety standards.
- Wheelchair access door lock (16V699000). 71 vehicles have power door locks that may open the wheelchair access door while driving if the keyfob button is pressed accidentally. A relay harness is added to prevent door opening in motion.

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2016-2018 Bay Star, Bay Star Sport, Canyon Star, Dutch Star, Essex, King Aire, London Aire, Mountain Aire, New Aire, Ventana and Ventana LE motorhomes. These vehicles may have a loose power connection at the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), possibly resulting in a build up of heat.
Risk: The build up of heat in the wiring from the loose power connection can increase the risk of a fire.

Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2012-2017 Canyon Star motor homes manufactured September 7, 2011, to September 6, 2016 and equipped with wheelchair lifts. Incorrect bolts may have been used to install the wheelchair lift base. These bolts may unexpectedly break allowing the lift to move. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 404, "Platform Lift Installations."
Risk: Unintentional movement of the wheelchair lift can cause injury to the lift occupant and/or the lift operator.

These vehicles have a wheelchair access door with a power door lock that may open while the vehicle is in motion if the keyfob button is pressed accidentally.

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Canyon Star motorhomes manufactured September 10, 2013, to August 18, 2015 and equipped with Atwood on-demand water heaters. In the affected vehicles, the water heater valve may not be properly set and, as a result, the water and gas valve may cause the water heater to overheat the water in the hot water supply tap.
Risk: The overheating of the water may result in the release of steam, possibly causing the operator is to scald themselves and increasing the risk of injury.

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2016 Bay Star Sport, Bay Star, and Canyon Star vehicles manufactured July 8, 2015, to September 23, 2015. Due to an incorrect shift cable bracket and an improper shift cable adjustment, the affected vehicles can be shifted out of 'PARK' without applying the brakes.
Risk: If the vehicle can be shifted into reverse without the brakes being applied, the vehicle may unintentionally move, increasing the risk of a crash.

Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2009-2016 Canyon Star toy haulers manufactured from November 28, 2007, through July 9, 2015, and model year 2007-2009 All Star toy haulers manufactured from January 30, 2006, through October 21, 2009. There is unprotected flammable plastic wrap surrounding the exterior fuel dispensing system which could burn if exposed to an ignition source.
Risk: If the exterior fuel dispensing compartment were to catch fire, the surrounding plastic wrap material could burn increasing the risk of a vehicle fire.

PARKING BRAKE
Newmar Corporation (Newmar) is recalling certain model year 2016 Bay Star, Bay Star Sport and Canyon Star motorhomes manufactured July 8, 2015, to September 14, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the parking brake actuator may be out of calibration causing the parking brake system to not properly hold the vehicle even with the parking brake pedal fully depressed. Additionally, the parking brake may not disengage completely when the parking brake pedal is released.
Risk: If the parking brake does not fully engage, the vehicle may unexpectedly roll, increasing the risk of personal injury or a crash. A parking brake that drags may result in a wheel end fire.

Passenger side of engine valve train failure. Frozen roller bearing with heavy wear, heavy wear on cam and dropped one valve in cylinder. Major damage to cylinder wall, piston and head. Complete engine replacement needed. Only 18000 miles on this engine. Ordered new one from ford dealership. The engine has been removed by a certified ford mechanic and inspected for the damage. The motor home was not in motion when engine failure happened. There were no warning lights, messages or buzzers before during and after failure accrued. The motor was turned off as soon as noise was heard. There was a certified ford mechanic inspecting the motor home when failure accrued.
