2024 MOTO GUZZI V7 STONE
ID: 2084027UNKNOWN OR OTHER
The transmission fails to go into neutral unless completely stopped. Also, the dash will show the bike is in neutral occasionally when coming to a red light/intersection, and when you release the clutch lever, the engine will start lunging the bike forward in a jerking motion (false neutral indication). My safety is put at risk as having the motorcycle refuse to go into neutral poses a risk for injury or an accident to myself and the other vehicles around me. The dealer informed me that the bike's clutch cable was out of adjustment, they adjusted it, it improved, but it has gotten worse once again. I contacted Moto Guzzi and they have not responded in any way. This was 2-3 days ago. The motorcycle is brand new with less than 100miles as of this writing, and no other lights or messages on the dash related to this problem. The problem has existed since I purchased the bike. I was informed by the dealer that the concern will improve with time. Safety needs to be consistent, not something I have to wait to finally occur. As it stands, the transmission is unacceptable, though the rest of the motorcycle is fantastic. I've been riding almost 30 years with 25+ motorcycles. This isn't normal and hasn't occurred with any other motorcycle I have ridden. No other motorcycle shifts this poorly.
