  • Wheelchair lift platform cracks. Recalls 14V621000 and 14V622000 covered 229 vehicles whose wheelchair lift platform side plates may crack, causing the platform to separate and potentially fall, risking injury. Micro Bird supplied supplemental supports and replaced cracked platforms free of charge starting December 2014.
  • Wheelchair track anchorages. Recall 23V795000 involved 22 vehicles with transversal wheelchair track anchorages that may detach in a crash, failing to restrain occupants properly. Dealers will reattach anchorages at no cost. Owner letters mailed January 17, 2024.
  • Electrical wiring damage. Recall 22V286000 affected 156 vehicles where an inactive electrical harness in the B-pillar may get damaged by sharp edges, risking short circuits and fire. Repairs secure harnesses and remove the main cable fuse without charge.
  • Service door release binding. Recalls 21V530000 and 21V531000 covered over 18,500 vehicles with emergency release handles that may bind, preventing door opening and evacuation during emergencies. Dealers provide adjustment instructions free of charge.
  • Emergency door retaining device. Recall 20V133000 affected 17,693 vehicles whose emergency doors may fail to stay open during evacuation, increasing injury risk. Dealers repair the door retaining device with a free installation kit.
  • Roof crush risk. Recall 17V798000 involved 292 G5 buses over 10,013 pounds. The roof may crush excessively in rollover crashes, increasing occupant injury risk. Dealers modify buses to prevent excessive crushing as of January 26, 2018.
