Recalls- Brake booster corrosion. Recall 24V298000 affects 15,604 vehicles and involves moisture accumulation causing corrosion in the brake booster housing. Dealers will remove the rubber sleeve, inspect, and replace the brake booster as needed free of charge. Notification letters began May 24, 2024.
- Brake booster corrosion expansion. Recall 22V315000 covers 350,294 vehicles with the same defect and risk as recall 24V298000. Owners must not drive until repairs are completed. The fix involves removal of the rubber sleeve and possible brake booster replacement at no cost. Owner notifications started June 30, 2022.
- Driver airbag inflator rupture. Recall 16V081000 impacts 711,159 vehicles including the 2010 GL550. Excessive internal pressure may cause the driver’s frontal airbag inflator to rupture on deployment, projecting metal fragments. This poses serious injury or death risk. Dealers will replace the driver airbag module free of charge. Recall began November 2016 with owner notifications ongoing.
