2025 LINCOLN NAUTILUS Complaints and Recall Information
The 2025 LINCOLN NAUTILUS has 5 complaints and 9 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report issues with the BlueCruise lane keeping and adaptive cruise control systems, describing erratic lane wandering and sudden unexpected speed reductions. Some also report the panoramic and center displays intermittently going blank, resulting in loss of critical safety information.
Common Issues- BlueCruise lane wandering. The lane keeping system drifts from one lane marker to the other and initially pulls heavily to the left side, fighting driver inputs to re-center the vehicle.
- Abrupt lane changes. When active, the autopilot performs sudden and jerky lane changes, raising potential safety hazards on slippery roads.
- Adaptive cruise control slowing. The system unexpectedly slows the vehicle to very low speeds on open highways without any apparent obstacle or speed limit change, sometimes failing to maintain the set speed.
- Lane keeping system failure. The lane keeping and adaptive cruise functions have shut down without warning while driving.
- Display outages. The panoramic and center display screens intermittently go blank, causing loss of essential safety and vehicle information, with no warning lights illuminated.
There are 9 recalls related to the 2025 Lincoln Nautilus affecting various components including exterior lighting, electrical systems, and power window controls. These recalls cover defects that impact vehicle lighting, fire risk from an engine block heater, and power window safety features.
Recalls- Lighting control module. (NHTSA 25V519000) Affecting 21,765 vehicles. LED Driver Modules may contain a burnt diode causing failure of headlights, daytime running lights, and, on Nautilus only, rear tail and signal lights. This compromises visibility and increases crash risk. Dealers will inspect and replace the LED modules free of charge.
- Engine block heater. (NHTSA 25V343000) Affecting 6,781 vehicles. The engine block heater may overheat when plugged in, increasing the risk of fire. Dealers will replace the heater element and inspect or replace the electrical cord at no cost. Alternative fixes include removal of the block heater and cord.
- Power window automatic reversal system. (NHTSA 25V518000) Affecting 102 vehicles. Windows may exert excessive force before retracting after detecting an obstruction, increasing injury risk. Dealers will update door module software free of charge.
- Power window automatic reversal system. (NHTSA 24V953000) Affecting 47,818 vehicles. The window reversal distance does not meet minimum safety standards, potentially causing injury. Dealers will recalibrate door modules free of charge.
Owners who face repeated repairs, unresolved safety defects, or open recall issues with the 2025 Lincoln Nautilus may have rights under applicable state lemon laws. Consulting legal resources can help determine next steps for protection and remedies.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2025 Lincoln Nautilus, Mustang Mach E, and Mustang vehicles. The LED Driver Modules may contain a burnt diode, which can cause the low-beam and high-beam headlights, daytime running lights, front position lights, and front turn signals to fail in the affected headlight. On Nautilus vehicles only, this condition may also cause the rear tail light, rear turn signal, and rear position light to fail. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Risk: Exterior lighting failure can reduce visibility for the driver and other road users, increasing the risk of a crash.

VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Lincoln Nautilus vehicles that were repaired incorrectly under recall 24V953. The window automatic reversal system may not react correctly after detecting an obstruction. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 118, "Power-Operated Window Systems."
Risk: A closing window may exert excessive force by pinching a driver or passenger before retracting, increasing the risk of injury.

ID: 2126330LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING
Driving on the freeway, with nothing in front except road, the Bluecruise/adaptive cruise control suddenly started slowing the vehicle to 25 mph from 70 mph. This has happened 5 times. The fifth time, the lane keeping system and adaptive cruise quit working but did not give any warning on the lane keeping having stopped working. In town, adaptive cruise will vary between the local speed and 25 mph but there is no speed limit sign showing a change of speed. Sometimes, the vehicle will slow down when that happens but recently it keeps going at the speed I have set even though the screen shows a different speed. The first 2 times, the adaptive speed changed were on August 24, 2025. The next three were on August 31, 2025. There were no vehicles behind us or there might have been a crash because the speed slowed so suddenly with a change shown on the panoramic view and self-steering quit without a warning on the screen. The vehicle was picked up today for repair.

ID: 2079791LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
While using the Ford BlueCruise system which is supposed to keep the vehicle centered in the lane along when it is in use on the highways it is programmed for, the system in this vehicle wanders throughout the lane from one side lane marker to the other lane marker. When first setting the cruise control which activates the lane assist program in this vehicle, it wants to initially justify to the left (drivers side) lane marker and fights any input from the driver to re-center the vehicle in the lane. If I let the system take the full control, after this initial left line hugging the vehicle will drift over towards the right side lane marker then go back towards the left lane marker and this continues until I deactivate the cruise control entirely when on a BlueCruise enabled highway. Additionally when this is in use, the lane changes the system performs is very abrupt as though the steering wheel was being grabbed and jerked fast to move to the adjacent lane. If this were to occur when there is a slippery spot in the road, I could see this cause a spinout. It is currently at the time of this writing at the Lincoln dealership for this and several other minor issues along with the recall noted as still open on this vehicle - as they cannot get the vehicle to accept the programming for the recall. I have also seen others on the Lincoln Nautilus forums complain about their vehicle doing the same lane wandering like the vehicle is drunk, one person stated in their reply that the almost impacted a vehicle in the other lane. As of the update from the service advisor yesterday (4/3/25) they still have no resolution for the recall issue and have not indicated anything about this issue despite them having put on 44 miles as of this writing on test drives.
