2025 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER Complaints and Recall Information

The 2025 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER has 4 complaints and 1 recall filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report sudden engine failure while driving and repeated windshield cracking issues. Several complaints describe the vehicle dying unexpectedly and frustration with customer service and repair processes.

Common Issues

  • Engine failure. The vehicle completely dies while driving on the highway, requiring towing and lengthy dealership repairs.
  • Customer service delays. Repair and repurchasing processes are described as lengthy, convoluted, and lacking clear communication or escalation options.
  • Windshield cracking. Rapid spreading cracks develop from minor chips, leading to multiple windshield replacements over a short period.

There is one recall involving the seat belt system. It affects occupant safety by potentially preventing proper latching of the second-row center seat belt buckle. The recall targets a manufacturing defect and includes a free repair.

Recalls

  • Seat belt buckle assembly. Recall 25V155000 affects 7,276 vehicles. The second-row center seat belt buckle may not latch correctly due to a manufacturing error. This defect increases the risk of injury in a crash because an occupant may not be properly restrained. Dealers will replace the center seat belt buckle and retaining bolt free of charge. The recall notification was sent in April 2025. There is no "Do Not Drive" or "Park Outside" advisory.

Owners dealing with repeated engine failures, windshield damage, or unresolved recall repairs may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consulting a qualified attorney could help determine available options.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

windshield, I cracked my 3rd windshield in 18 months and approx 7 windshields in 10 years. I replace this vehicle annually with the identical make and model range rover. The smallest stone chips the windshield and the chip turns into long cracks across the windshield within hours to a couple of days. I have alerted Land Rover to this.

SEATS

Unsatisfactory Review for 2025 Range Rover SE I purchased a 2025 Range Rover SE in November 2024 for nearly $200,000, expecting a luxury vehicle with reliability to match its price tag. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. In December 2024, just one month after purchase, the vehicle completely died while I was driving on the highway—a terrifying and unacceptable failure for a brand-new car. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, where it has remained ever since. What has made this experience even worse is Range Rover’s appalling customer service. The company’s “repurchasing” agreement process, which I initiated nearly two months ago, is lengthy, convoluted, and appears designed to disadvantage the customer at every step. Despite repeated attempts to get answers, there has been no clear timeline for resolution, no updates from anyone with decision-making authority, and absolutely no way to escalate the matter to management. For a vehicle in this price range, I expected premium customer care, but what I’ve received is the opposite: silence, frustration, and the sense that Range Rover cares more about protecting itself than making things right for its customers. Until Range Rover makes significant improvements to the reliability of its vehicles and its customer service, I cannot recommend this brand to anyone. Buyers beware—you may end up with a luxury-priced lemon and no way to resolve it.
