The 2018 KZRV VENOM has 0 complaints and 6 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report issues related to safety defects and labeling inaccuracies based on recall data.

Six recalls affect multiple components and systems including labels, propane regulators, awning controllers, fire extinguishers, and gas supply lines.

Recalls
  • Federal Certification label error. NHTSA recall 18V540000 affects 1,160 vehicles. The label incorrectly lists the tire size as ST235/80R16G instead of ST235/85R16G. Incorrect tire information may lead to unsafe tire installation and increase crash risk. Dealers replace the label free of charge.
  • Propane regulator failure. Recall 21V670000 covers 34,345 vehicles with Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulators. The regulator may fail causing elevated propane pressure, which enlarges flames and increases fire risk. Dealers replace the regulator and hoses at no cost.
  • Awning deployment risk. NHTSA recall 18V242000 involves 7,370 vehicles where the Solera Smart Arm awning may deploy while the vehicle is moving, raising crash risk. Dealers replace the awning controller free of charge.
  • Fire extinguisher malfunction. Recall 17V749000 includes 134,046 trailers with Kidde plastic-handle or push-button extinguishers. These extinguishers may clog, require excessive force to activate, or detach nozzles, increasing injury risk during fires. Owners receive replacement extinguishers free from Kidde.
  • Missing copper gas pipe. Recall 17V347000 affects 41 Venom fifth-wheel trailers with outside kitchen options. Missing a 12-inch copper pipe allows the rubber gas line to overheat and melt near the pilot light, increasing fire risk. Dealers install the copper pipe free of charge.
  • Missing manufacturing date on label. Recall 17V387000 involves 553 vehicles with Federal Certification labels lacking the manufacturing date. This omission hampers owner identification of applicable recalls, increasing safety risk. Dealers provide corrected labels at no charge.

Owners with 2018 KZRV VENOM trailers who have repeated repairs for safety defects or unresolved recall issues may want to review their state’s lemon law protections for possible remedies.
