- Propane line routing issue. NHTSA recall 18V526000 covers 61 2018-2019 Sportsmen 333BHK travel trailers. Liquid propane lines routed through the wheel well may be damaged by road debris, increasing fire risk. Dealers will install a steel plate to protect the propane supply line free of charge. The recall began September 4, 2018.
- Propane gas leak. NHTSA recall 18V462000 affects 500 2018-2019 Sportsmen recreational trailers. Propane gas may leak at the back of the outside kitchen cooktop, raising fire hazard. Dealers will inspect and repair the propane system as needed at no charge. The recall began August 31, 2018.
- Faulty fire extinguishers. NHTSA recall 17V749000 applies to 134,046 trailers including 2018 models with Kidde plastic-handle or push-button “Pindicator” fire extinguishers. The extinguishers may clog or require excessive force to activate and in some cases the nozzle may detach, posing injury risk and functional failure during fires. Owners will be instructed to contact Kidde for a free replacement extinguisher. The recall began January 15, 2018.

The regulator may fail, causing an increase in propane pressure.

These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable.
