Recalls
  • Electronic Stability Control Software. NHTSA recall 20V199000 affects 460,515 vehicles including the 2016 T270. PACCAR found that if the ABS loses battery or ignition power, the ABS warning light may not turn on, failing to alert the driver. This increases crash risk if the ABS is unknowingly disabled. • ABS Warning Light Failure. Covered under recall 20V199000 for 460,515 vehicles with NAMUX Software. The ABS warning light may fail to illuminate if power is lost, violating FMVSS 121 and 136. Untimely detection of ABS loss raises crash risk. Dealers will update software at no cost.
  • Wiper Motor Water Intrusion. Recall 15V271000 involves 104,807 trucks from model years 2011 to 2016. Water may enter the wiper motor causing intermittent setting failure and corrosion, which can result in electrical shorts or fire. PACCAR is developing a remedy and recall began September 2, 2015.
  • Steering Tie Rod Assembly. Recall 17V593000 affects 17,737 trucks including the 2016 T270 equipped with certain Spicer D or E steer axles. Recall began November 13, 2017.
  • Steering System Integrity. Also part of recall 17V593000, covering the loose tie rod issue causing potential steering disconnection. Dealers are responsible for inspection and repair free of charge. This recall addresses a critical safety risk of steering failure.
