Regarding bullet point one: Not sure Bullet 2:My safety and my husband's safety would have been at risk if it had crashed into our house as he was sitting where it could have possibility entered the house. Bullet 3: Not sure Bullet 4: Vehicle was has not been inspected by manufacturer. Jeep was not driveable. State Farm was contacted and a wrecker came and towed the vehicle to Caliber Collision. The Jeep is there now. Drove into driveway and placed Jeep in reverse to back up to a shed. I put my foot on the accelerator to backup but the Jeep lurched forward and accelerated. It would not stop, even as I tried to brake, until it ran through a privacy fence knocking down 3 cemented metal posts and bent another one. It also ran over a metal bird cage, metal table, Talavara bird bath, and uprooted an 8+' shrub before coming to a stop inches away from our HVAC unit and the house. Marks on the driveway seem to indicate the right rear tire kept turning and the left rear tire buried into the ground almost up to the axle. Bullet 5: There were no warning lights or signals before the accident.

A small rock hit my gorilla glass windshield putting a extremely small nick the size of the tip of a ball point pen. You can't even see the extremely small nick on a camera. But the windshield instantly cracked and continues to Crack from this tiny nick. Is has cracked over half the windshield and can be felt on the inside as well. Now I'm stuck paying a ton of money and my insurance rates going up monthly to replace a faulty windshield that mopar knows is faulty and there have been several complaints and even a lawsuit over the windshield.

Failure: Possibly related to Drive train Problem: Happens everyday in the morning on a cold start, have seen it also happen after parking for a longer duration on a cold day. When the vehicle is put in Drive and moves forward and changes gear from 1st to 2nd, the vehicle lunges/jumps forward. It’s an extremely aggressive shift and literally jumps forward. This problem started happening after nearly a year. The first year was fine with no issues. It’s a scary feeling sitting in the driving seat not sure if its going to hit someone or the transmission is going to fall apart. Inspection: This was inspected by 2 different service centers. One of them reported that they were not able to see the issue. The 2nd service center says that it’s a hard shift which I can ignore.. but the Jeep is not supposed to drive that manner. Warnings & Signs: None. The problem started after nearly a year of ownership.

About one in 10 starts of my vehicle, the radio/infotainment screen will lock up, make a make a static sound, go black, and restart in a one minute cycle. Sometimes when I am in reverse, it will keep a picture of the back up camera, it’s a locked up picture (that is, not the camera view in motion) and which I think is dangerous, because it could give driver a false perception that there’s nothing behind the vehicle, and then the infotainment will reboot.

I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe (VIN: [XXX] ) that has experienced multiple hybrid system failures since the week of purchase. Despite several major repairs, the issues persist — raising significant safety and reliability concerns. Timeline of Major Issues: •[XXX]: Just two days after purchase, the vehicle was brought into the shop for hybrid system failure, requiring replacement of the high-voltage wiring harness and electric cooling heater. •Shortly after, the check engine light returned (per service staff, likely another hybrid fault). I was unable to bring it in at the time, and the light later turned off on its own. •[XXX}: After overnight charging, the battery was dead and the vehicle wouldn’t start. My wife (a medical provider) had to leave work to assist, causing major disruptions to patient care, financial loss, and missed school for my son. •[XXX]: After another overnight charge, the vehicle again failed to start, with more difficulty getting it to run than before. •[XXX}: The vehicle was returned to the shop and required replacement of the hybrid powertrain chip and additional high-voltage wiring. These failures mirror the symptoms and component issues currently under investigation in Recall 95B, yet my VIN does not show any open recalls, and I was never notified of any hybrid system defect. My vehicle has experienced the same hazardous failures and received the same repairs as affected vehicles. I am submitting this complaint because I believe my vehicle was improperly excluded from safety-related notifications and may be affected by a known, systemic hybrid defect. I am requesting that NHTSA include this case in its ongoing investigation into Jeep 4xe hybrid propulsion failures. Vehicle abruptly lost all power while driving, multiple panel lights, turtle mode. Twice now, first time at an intersection (April 10, 2025), second time on street in front of my house after pulling out of driveway. Loss of power steering, insufficient power to get back up driveway to garage. Towed both times. First time spent 18 days at dealer, "multiple DTC codes", no definitive diagnosis. Back at dealer now for past 11 days, no diagnosis yet. Could easily have been life-threatening situation if occured while driving on freeway or at speed. Apparently known problem with these Jeep HEVs.

After a UConnect OTA software update was received in Feb of 2025, the radio frequently crashes and reboots shortly after starting the car. Frequently this will result in the backup camera image being frozen for up to 30 seconds before the radio reboots. This causes a potentially dangerous situation if you rely on the camera while backing up. Also, after this happens the wireless access point can not be enabled without manually rebooting the radio again.

This was the third time the vehicle ceased with 1/8 tank of gas left. These instances result in the gas light, engine light, and battery light to turn on and do not let the vehicle move into neutral, which has been unsafe as the vehicle shuts down somewhat unexpectedly and has taken place in the middle of the road without the option to push the vehicle off to the side.

While driving on a highway at the 55 mph speed limit, the vehicle suddenly lost power and I was only able to travel at around 40 mph. The incident happened at a busy time on this two-lane highway and it caused traffic to back up behind me and for people to pass me until I could turn at the next intersection. I was only a mile or so away from my residence and I was able to make it home under the reduced power. The 4xe battery was at <1% and I was driving in hybrid mode at the time of the incident. I recharged the battery overnight and have driven it only a few miles since, with no further incidents. I purchased the vehicle used 2 weeks ago with under 17K miles on the odometer. I have not reported the incident to the dealership from which I purchased the vehicle, as they are not a Jeep dealership and I doubt that they would have a clue as to the cause of the problem.

Since I leased the car, I have taken it to the dealers 4 different times for the steering wheel shaking out of control the first time the "fixed" it but turned me away the 2nd and 3rd time. Each time I requested the left mid speaker to be checked and replaced but they refused to do anything about it until my last oil change 2 months ago. Last year around November they fixed and oil leak, but the cat never leaked oil form the bottom. The Jeep was burning oil not leaking oil and they never did a consumption test. I took it in because the oil levels were low. However, the speaker is still broken, and I did not return the Jeep because they would not give me a loaner car for the service even though it's under warranty. In addition, right front and back tires blew out and when I had the Jeep towed to the dealership for repairs, I noticed that the back tank next to the muffler was leaking. While the Jeep was at the dealership waiting to be serviced, it was vandalized with the rear left window busted out and pain job damaged. My personal registration and insurance information among other things was taken as well. It's been 3 and a half weeks, and they are jerking me around about the repairs. Yesterday, I talked to the service manager (Jose & Rob) they were very condescending about having the repairs done. Upon talking to them I was told that the found and fixed another 'oil leak" but never did a consumption test. I didn't notice the oil being low when I turned in the Jeep on 4/14/25, so they assumed that the leak that I mention was coming from the engine and not the rear and found another leak but had not checked the rear for the leak that I requested them to check. In addition, they claimed that they fixed the oil "leak" without doing a consumption test. I turned the Jeep in on 4/14/25 and the vandalism happened on 4/24/25. FYI this site won't allow me to download the videos of the Jeep doing the "death wabble (shake)". Please email me so I can forward that to you.

Firsts, "service shifter" came up on the dash, with no other lights. Followed by the check engine light. After that, there was a red tortoise that appeared on the dash that said "vehicle speed may be limited". After which the throttle response was limited and I couldn't accelerate over 10 mph. Within 30 seconds of that the steering wheel locked up, not allowing me to turn and the throttle response died. The vehicle stopped. I turned the vehicle off and back on and began to drive again, almost immediately the same error messages came up, followed by a locked steering wheel (unable to turn) and no acceleration. At this point, the dash board began to illuminate all lights, "Auto Emergency Braking Unavailable", "service shifter" "Service transmission" etc. With the fuel cluster jumping and dropping. Following this, the windshield wipers began to go without control and then the vehicle died and was unable to be started.

I am submitting this formal complaint to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regarding a premature front CV axle boot failure on a Jeep Wrangler with only 16,000 miles. This failure occurred under normal operating conditions and is indicative of a systemic durability defect that could pose serious long-term safety concerns if left unaddressed. The vehicle was brought to an authorized Jeep dealership in New Jersey after grease was observed leaking from the front axle. Inspection revealed a torn CV axle boot. Importantly, photographic and video documentation confirm the vehicle was never subjected to off-road use, impact, or any owner-induced damage. Despite this, the dealership refused warranty coverage, claiming no cause could be determined—yet arbitrarily attributing it to external influence without any supporting evidence. This type of failure in a critical drivetrain component at such low mileage raises substantial questions regarding material integrity, seal design, and long-term reliability—issues which fall under NHTSA’s authority pursuant to 49 U.S. Code § 30118 – Notification of Defects and Noncompliance and 49 CFR § 573 – Defect and Noncompliance Responsibility and Reports. Additionally, Jeep Wranglers have a well-documented history of drivetrain-related problems, including steering instability, axle vulnerability, and component fatigue—many of which have already resulted in Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and consumer complaints to your agency. This suggests an ongoing pattern of premature wear and reliability concerns that may meet the threshold for a safety-related defect investigation. While the failure in this instance did not yet result in an accident or injury, the CV joint and axle boot are vital components of the steering and stability system. A compromised CV joint due to undetected boot failure can lead to sudden loss of control, especially at highway speeds. The failure mode—occurring silently over time—is precisely the

We leased our jeep [XXX and started having Software (SW) issues in December 2023. We were informed in June 2024, after having multiple SW issues, from dealer senior mechanic that 90% of the first wave 2024 Jeep Wranglers had SW issues. Our jeep was a first wave unit, we were not informed of a possible SW during test drive. There's been two SW updates that I know of, one in late Jun 2024 and another in mid Sept 2024. Neither fixed all the SW issues and in fact added more additional issues. Dates listed or beginning dates. Issues include Control-D: going totally blank starting in Jan 2024 on startup or while driving or starting, in Oct 2024 having a half inch strip across the top and down left side, Dash navigation direction provides two dashes starting Jul 2024 on startup and for about 30sec, GPS freezing up in Aug 2024, all functions on screen froze up Nov 2024, to name a few. FCA US LLC has no idea when the next SW update will be released or what fix's will be included. Hardware (HW): Mar 2024 headlights with switch in Auto will come on in broad sunlight. While driving on [XXX], engine warning light came on and remained on for a total of 36hours during start up and driving time. Presently at Starr Motors Suffolk, VA since Dec 16, 2024. They have been directed to trouble shoot and fix HW. We've were informed Jan 14, 2025, that the Oil Control Valve is bad, and more testing will be performed once parts are replaced. With the SW and HW issues this jeep has had, we believe it is not operationally safe to drive. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
