The engine oil filter housing cooler (part number is: 5184294AE) are made of dissimilar materials (plastic and aluminum) and with normal hot oil temperatures the materials expand and contract at different rates causing failure of the part and leaks. The leak causes loss of engine oil and engine coolant that can sudden engine damage while driving putting the driver and passengers at risk. This seems to affect not only this 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicle with a 3.6 Liter engine, but almost all 3.6 Liter engines in other Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram vehicles.
