2019 JAYCO SENECA Complaints and Recall Information
The 2019 JAYCO SENECA has 2 complaints and 8 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners frequently report issues related to structural support where the truck frame and RV frame connect. There are also concerns about inadequate reinforcement around the water tank, which posed potential fire hazards due to proximity to wiring and propane lines.
Common Issues- Frame joint weakness. Vertical seams where the truck frame and RV frame meet lack side-to-side support, requiring owner-installed bolts and metal reinforcements.
- Water tank instability. Water tank rests on plastic without proper support, which itself rests on wiring harness and propane lines, creating a fire risk.
There are 8 recalls affecting this model, addressing safety and equipment defects involving tires, leveling systems, and labeling. These recalls cover systems related to tires, hydraulic leveling components, and compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
Recalls- Tire valve stems. (NHTSA Recall 22V121000) 2,643 vehicles affected. Tire valve stem extension for the inner wheel may contact outer wheel rim opening and become damaged. Risk of tire pressure loss increases crash risk. Repair includes removal of inner valve stem extension and stabilizer at no charge.
- Leveling system brackets. (NHTSA Recall 20V796000) 1,705 vehicles affected. Mounting brackets for hydraulic pump and reservoir may fail causing components to contact the ground, risking detachment or hydraulic fluid leaks that could lead to crashes. Dealers will install updated support brackets at no cost.
- Cargo Carrying Capacity label. (NHTSA Recall 18V451000) 49 vehicles affected. The CCC label incorrectly overstates cargo capacity, risking vehicle overloading and increased crash risk. Jayco will provide corrected labels free of charge.
Owners facing repeated repairs or unresolved recall issues involving safety defects should consider their rights under state lemon laws. Consulting with a qualified attorney familiar with consumer protection and lemon law may be advisable to evaluate their options.

The seems on the can where the truck frame and RV frame come together were needing additional support and in my case support as there was no attempt from side to side swaying on the vertical seems. I had to bolt through the vertical seems with bolts and a piece of metal. Construction had to be done and done by me since I bought the coach used. I also had to reinforce the water tank as it was just sitting on plastic. This plastic was sitting on top of the wiring harness for the truck. It was also sitting on the propane line for the water heater. Could have resulted in a fire. Again since I bought the coach used and dealership told me to go pound sand.
