2018 JAYCO SEISMIC Complaints and Recall Information
The 2018 JAYCO SEISMIC has 0 complaints and 5 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owner reports most commonly relate to brake system defects, propane system faults, and fuel tank mounting concerns associated with safety and equipment reliability.
There are five recalls covering hydraulic brake issues, propane system defects, and fuel tank hardware. These recalls address potential safety risks related to braking performance, fire hazards, and component detachments.
- Hydraulic brake lines. Recall 19V169000 affects 73 vehicles due to improperly routed brake lines between the frame and axle. Lines may become pinched or cut, reducing braking ability and increasing crash risk. Dealers will inspect and replace brake lines as needed, free of charge.
- Propane regulator failure. Recall 21V685000 impacts 29,825 units with Winntec model 6020 two-stage propane regulators that may fail, causing elevated propane pressure. This can enlarge flames in gas appliances, increasing fire risk. Dealers will replace regulators and test for leaks at no cost.
- Fuel tank mounting hardware. Recall 19V172000 involves 758 trailers where incorrect hardware was used to secure auxiliary fuel tanks. The hardware may fail, possibly allowing the tank to detach and raising fire risk. Dealers will install correct hardware free of charge.
- Propane tank securing strap. Recall 18V364000 affects 612 trailers. The strap securing LP gas bottles may separate from its buckle, allowing tanks to detach. This increases risks of crashes or propane leaks leading to fire. Dealers will replace straps with properly crimped versions at no cost.
Owners dealing with repeated repairs or unresolved recall repairs related to braking and propane system defects may have legal rights under their state’s lemon law. Consultation with a consumer protection attorney can help clarify options based on individual circumstances.
