Recalls- Parking brake cable. Recall 19V174000 affects 69 vehicles. The parking brake cable ends may be too small, allowing disconnection and preventing the emergency brake from engaging. This defect increases the risk of the vehicle unintentionally moving when parked on an incline. Dealers will replace the parking brake cable free of charge.
- Cooking stove gas leak. Recall 21V204000 impacts 2144 vehicles equipped with Dometic 3 burner stoves. The securing bolt for the saddle valve may be overtightened, damaging the o-ring seal and causing a continuous gas leak. A gas leak raises the risk of fire. Remedy kits including gaskets and washers will be installed.
- Leveling system bracket failure. Recall 20V548000 covers 3113 vehicles. Mounting brackets for the hydraulic pump and reservoir may fail, allowing components to contact the ground. This can cause detachment or hydraulic fluid leaks, increasing crash risk. Dealers will install additional support brackets at no cost.
- Seatbelt warning light defect. Recall 19V690000 affects 446 vehicles. The seatbelt-unfastened warning light fails to illuminate for about five seconds after ignition is turned on. This violates FMVSS 208 and may cause the driver to forget fastening the seatbelt, increasing injury risk. Dealers will reprogram the instrument panel cluster for free.
- Cargo capacity label error. Recall 18V451000 involves 49 vehicles. The Cargo Carrying Capacity label incorrectly overstates allowable cargo, potentially causing overloading. Overloaded vehicles have a higher crash risk. Jayco will provide corrected labels at no charge.
Owners with repeated repairs related to these recalls or unresolved safety defects may have rights under their state’s lemon law. Consulting a qualified attorney experienced in lemon law could clarify potential remedies.
