2011 JAGUAR XF Complaints and Recall Information
The 2011 JAGUAR XF has 0 complaints and 5 recalls filed with NHTSA. Owners most frequently report issues related to air bag inflator defects and fuel system concerns.
There are five recalls affecting various safety and fuel system components. The recalls address risks including fuel leakage and air bag inflator ruptures that can cause injury or fire. Affected systems cover fuel tanks and both driver and passenger air bag modules.
Recalls- Fuel tank outlet flange. Recall 12V521000 affects 4,195 vehicles due to a cracked fuel outlet flange on 5.0L gasoline engines. This defect causes fuel leakage that may ignite and cause a fire. The remedy involves replacing the affected fuel outlet flanges free of charge. The recall started December 20, 2012.
- Driver air bag inflator. Recall 16V229000 covers 5 vehicles and involves missing chemical enhancers in the driver frontal air bag, causing improper second stage deployment in crashes. This defect increases injury risk. Dealers will replace the driver air bag modules at no cost. The recall began May 5, 2016.
- Passenger air bag inflator (Zone A, B, C). Recall 18V010000 affects 16,532 vehicles sold or registered in specific U.S. states and territories. Propellant degradation in passenger air bag inflators may cause explosion and send metal fragments into the cabin, risking serious injury or death. Jaguar will replace the front passenger air bag assembly free of charge. The recall started June 27, 2018.
- Passenger air bag inflator (Zone A only). Recall 16V373000 covers 20,107 vehicles originally sold or registered in select states. Propellant degradation can cause inflators to rupture, sending metal fragments that risk serious injury or death. Dealers will replace the passenger air bag assemblies free of charge. The recall started March 2017.
Owners facing repeated repairs related to these recalls or unresolved safety concerns may have rights under their state lemon laws. Consulting a qualified attorney can assist in exploring legal options available for defective vehicles.
